Estamos de celebración!!! El primer año de blog!!! TrippingBites cumple un añito y hay que compartirlo con todos vosotros: con los trippers incondicionales que estáis ahí desde la primera aventura como con todos los nuevos que se han ido sumando a lo largo del camino y desde tantas partes del mundo! A todos vosotros: GRACIAS!!!

En Septiembre de 2015, TrippingBites veía la luz por primera vez cargado de ilusiones y con la intención de llegar a ser una vía de escape a todos aquellos que llevamos en las venas esas ganas irrefrenables de escaparnos y perdernos lejos en algún lugar del Mundo.

Cada semana este blog me ha permitido evadirme, desconectar, relajarme y disfrutar como si volviera a cada uno de los destinos que se iban publicando… Cada vez que me preguntaban cómo podía mantener ese ritmo de un viaje por semana yo siempre respondía lo mismo: «porque lo necesito!«, cada post más allá de cansarme me despertaba más las ganas de seguir escribiendo, y gracias al blog además he tenido una excusa perfecta para viajar con más frecuencia todavía! 😉 Pero lo mejor de todo es que creo que además de haber descubierto sitos alucinantes también este año he hecho un viaje personal en el que creo que TrippingBites ha tenido mucho que ver… ¿quién iba a decirme hace un año que estaría escribiendo este blog habiendo cambiado totalmente mi vida por el camino?

Pero sin lugar a dudas lo mejor de este primer año de viaje habéis sido vosotros, descubrir cada nuevo lector de un nuevo país del Mundo era una alegría inmensa cada semana, escuchar vuestros comentarios o ver que os animábais a descubrir alguno de los Bites que recomendábamos y os gustaban aumentaban la motivación… y gracias a vosotros también se evolucionó más allá de los propios destinos y hacia nuevos temas de lifestyle.

Por todo ello, esta semana el post es muy especial y rinde homenaje a TrippingBites, porque como bien empieza el encabezado del post… cumplir el primer año es algo que nunca se vuelve a repetir!!  TrippingBites sopla su primera vela y para vosotros va dedicado este resumen de su trayectoria…

 

 

¿Cuál es el post más leído?

A lo largo de esta aventura hasta hoy, se han publicado un total de 44 posts!! ¿Cuál pensáis que ha sido el más seguido, y desde más cantidad de lugares del Mundo? Pues sorprendentemente, el primer post: La Isla Bonita, dedicado a la impresionante isla de Ibiza. Me encanta que haya sido así, porque no solo reflejaba toda la ilusión y representaba el nacimiento de TrippingBites, sino que ha seguido leyéndose hasta hace unos días y ha seguido manteniendo el interés de manera constante a lo largo de este año… Recién aterrizada de allí sigo pensando que es uno de los lugares más mágicos y especiales del Mundo, y espero poder seguir repitiendo cada año 🙂

 

¿Cuál es el Top 3 de países que siguen el blog?

Aunque TrippingBites nace en España, una de las cosas que más enorgullecen es la acogida Internacional que ha tenido casi desde el principio. España es el país con más seguidores, pero.. ¿quiénes continuan la lista?

• En segunda posición, nos encontramos con Brasil!! Y esto es una alegría tremenda,  porque el verano pasado me enamoré completamente de esta tierra y de sus gentes, de su manera de vivir y de disfrutar la vida. Muito obrigada, ojalá sigáis ahí siempre de manera incondicional!!! Ojala pueda volver pronto allí: en el punto de mira hay varias alternativas, desde San Fernando de Noronha y Pernambuco hasta Iguazú, Recife, Natal o Fortaleza.
• Y en el puesto nº 3, Estados Unidos!!! cuando apareció el número de seguidores de EEUU sinceramente fue alucinante: WOW! Es un reto importante manteneros enganchados y sobre todo estar al nivel al publicar posts como Start (Miami) o NYC Eat (restaurantes preferidos de Nueva York)… sobre todo éste último ha recibido muy buenas críticas hasta de los propios neoyorkinos. Thanks a lot, EEUU!

 

¿Cuáles serían los momentazos del año?

Es difícil porque a lo largo del año ha habido muchas alegrías, pero si hay que elegir, habría dos grandes momentos para recordar:

• El primero de ellos fue a principios de Enero, cuando Indonesia empezó a seguir el blog… Como ya sabéis tengo una especie de adicción con Bali y para mí conectar con Indonesia era uno de los deseos que pensaba que serían irrealizables al empezar con TrippingBites, por lo que no os puedo explicar lo que sentí al verlo y tan solo 4 meses después de iniciar el proyecto!! Mi gran reto para este año es intentar contaros a través de varios posts lo especial que fue este viaje… espero conseguirlo! Terima Kasih!!
• Y el segundo no fue hace demasiado, a mediados de Mayo, cuando @mytrip tuvo su primer encargo de guía. Tengo que reconoceros que al principio no tenía muy claro si apostar o no por @mytrip, iniciar este nuevo proyecto en el que diseñar guías a medida era todo un reto e imponía respeto… pero lo mejor ha sido vuestro feedback y la ilusión con las que las habéis recibido. ¿El trabajo más completo y concienzudo?: la primera guía @mytrip Globetrotter, una luna de miel por Japón y Filipinas, para una tripper muy especial, en la que se echó el resto… Tanto los destinatarios como yo estamos muy contentos con el resultado!

 

¿Cuál ha sido el post más complicado?

Aunque no haya sido complicado por difícil, sí diría que complicado por todo lo que había que contar en él… fijaros que Eternal (sobre Roma), o Travel In Time (sobre Atenas) tenían datos y datos por mostrar… pero curiosamente el que fue más complicado de todos fue L’Acqua Vecchia L’Acqua Vecchia (Venecia), y prueba de ello fue su longitud: nada más y nada menos que 12.781 palabras, incluyendo ambos idiomas!!!! WTF?? No fui consciente de ello hasta que un día hice un repaso de lo publicado hasta el momento en el blog… y ahora con el tiempo, intentando explicarme el por qué, supongo que es simplemente el reflejo de lo que me pasa con Venecia: que me atrapa y me dejo llevar. Quería contar qué es eso que tiene que la hace tan especial y creo que volqué todo lo que me apasiona sobre ella, en especial en los Bites. Pero también desde entonces ha habido un aprendizaje, y es intentar hacer los post más amables y ligeros de leer (cosa que creo que se ha conseguido en los últimos posts)

 

¿Qué posts han sorprendido más?

Cuando tomé la decisión de evolucionar un poco más las temáticas del blog, tenía muchas  dudas de si iban a ser o no aceptados por vosotros, especialmente tras llevar ya varios meses específicamente enfocada en destinos y viajes. Pero fue una gran sorpresa encontrar que Eat, Love, Life & Sleep tenían un buen recibimiento. Entre todas estas nuevas publicaciones han ayudado a dinamizar mucho el blog, hay tres posts que destacan por lo que os han gustado:

• Deco Addict, es sin duda el que más llama la atención. Me llegaron a hacer comentarios en los que se pedían más contenidos de decoración y parece que aún siendo algo un poco diferente encaja bastante bien con el blog. Yo solo puedo deciros que estoy encantada de que así sea, porque me va a permitir dedicar un poco más de espacio a mi otra gran afición!!
• Y por otro lado, NYC Eat, un reto de los grandes por la cantidad, calidad y variedad de restaurantes que podemos encontrarnos en NY. De hecho, solo se publicaron 10 y hubo que guardar unos 20 más para poder seguir ampliando la selección en el futuro! Pero tuvo un recibimiento muy bueno, y anima mucho a seguir recomendando también lugares donde comer en el blog.

 

¿Qué posts han sido los más especiales?

Todos han tenido su vivencia detrás: cada uno supone un flashback en el que de repente se desentierran sensaciones, experiencias y recuerdos que pensabas que se habían desactivado… pero dado que se trata de escoger, se puede decir que habría tres posts más cargados de emocionalidad por lo que representaban en ese momento y cuándo se publicaron:

• El primero, por cronología, ya lo hemos comentado: La Isla Bonita.  Lleno de nervios y excitación por ser el debut, la prueba de fuego, el estreno ante todos vosotros. De su funcionamiento dependería todo, me la jugaba y lo sabía. Y ya veis, lo que son las cosas, tras este primer año de vida es el post más leído y con más seguidores!! (prueba superadaaaa!)
• Pero ahora vienen otros dos posts algo más recientes y que para mí tienen mucho significado: Energy puede que muchos de vosotros no lo entendieseis demasiado: ¿un post sobre Jin Shin Jyutsu, una terapia oriental, en TrippingBites? Para mí ese momento fue clave y, como comentamos en el post, supuso uno de los viajes más importantes que había hecho hasta el momento: el viaje al interior de mí misma. Ahora, leyéndolo con perspectiva, veo su importancia y creo que a partir de este post también se va notando cierta evolución.
• Y por último, Slow Travel, toda una declaración de intenciones y puede que también el destino al que no sabía que llegaría cuando escribí Energy. El reflejo del momento actual en el que me encuentro y también de una nueva manera de saborear mis viajes.

 

¿Cómo estaría a día de hoy el mapa de trippers en el Mundo?

Pues poco a poco se van coloreando más países! En concreto, ya 68, y aproximadamente un 70% del Mundo conquistado!! Ojalá poco a poco el mapa se siga tiñendo de color y cada semana sumemos nuevos países para anunciarlos en los posts!

Y por último… ¿qué nos depara este nuevo año de TrippingBites?

Si os dais cuenta, poco a poco el blog va tomando un matiz más personal e intimista. Se ha abierto una nueva vía hacia la personalización con @mytrip y se seguirá desarrollando la nueva línea de posts «Are you…?» en los que se recomiendan los destinos que más os pueden interesar en función de vuestras preferencias. Esta nueva línea puede que también dé juego para la sección Sleep (hoteles) y Eat (restaurantes). Pero sin duda lo que más ilusión (y miedo) da es -por fin- empezar a publicar los posts sobre Bali. Ya sabéis que un año da para mucho y como siempre hay muchos destinos en la cabeza, tanto de los ya conocidos como nuevos lugares por descubrir en estos meses que tenemos por delante, por lo pronto ya estoy a puntito de decidir el destino para Fin de Año que como todos los años espero con mucha ilusión… en breve lo veréis anunciado en el calendario de viajes del Blog.

 

En definitiva, muchas ideas en la cabeza y muchas ganas de contarlas tras el parón veraniego! De nuevo gracias a todos por estar ahí, y nos vemos la semana que viene un año más viejos!!!

We are celebrating our first year of blog !!! TrippingBites plays a birthday and we want to share with you all : the unconditional trippers who have joined us since our first adventure and with all the new ones have been added along the way and from many parts of the world! To all of you : THANK YOU !!!

In September 2015, TrippingBites saw the light for the first time full of hopes and with the intention of becoming an escape route to all those who carry in those veins uncontrollable desire to escape and get lost away somewhere in the world.

Each week this blog has allowed me avoid me, unwind, relax and enjoy as if I were to each of the destinations that were published … Whenever asked me how I could keep that pace of a trip per week always answered the same «because I need it!» Each post beyond tired wake me more desire to continue writing, thanks to the blog I also had a perfect excuse to travel more frequently yet! 😉 But best of all is that I also have discovered amazing sites have also made a personal trip in which I think TrippingBites has had much to do … who would tell me a year ago I’d be writing this year this blog having totally changed my life on the road?

But without doubt the best of this first year of travel have been you, discover every new reader of a new country in the world was a huge weekly joy, listen to your comments or see what you start to discover any Bites that we recommended and I liked filled us with motivation … and thank you took the step of going beyond the destinations themselves and evolve into new lifestyle issues.

Therefore , let us this week regain normal rhythm with a very special tribute to TrippingBites post , because as we say at the beginning … first birthday is something we will never repeat !! We want to blow our first sail with you and dedicate this summary of the first leg of the trip with all our love …

 

What is the most read post?

La Isla Bonita, dedicated to the stunning island of Ibiza. I love that it has been so because not only reflected all our hopes and represented the birth of TrippingBites, but has continued being read until a few days ago and has continued to maintain the interest steadily throughout this year … Just Landed there still think it’s one of the most magical and special places in the world, and I hope to keep repeating every year 🙂

What is the Top 3 places in the world who follow us?

Although our blog born in Spain, one of the things that we feel is most proud of the International reception we have had almost from the beginning. Spain is the country with the most followers, but .. who continue the list?

• In second position, we find Brazil !! And this fills us with joy because last summer completely fell in love with this land and its people, their way of life and enjoy life. Muito obrigados, hope to keep you unconditionally !!! Hopefully we can return soon there: in the crosshairs have several alternatives, from Fernando de Noronha and Pernambuco to Iguazú, Natal, Recife or Fortaleza.
  

• And in the No. 3,  US !!! when we saw the number of US followers were amazed we sincerely: WOW! For us it is a major challenge to keep you hooked and above all be level when we publish post as Start (on our trip to Miami) or NYC Eat (about our favorite New York restaurants) … we are very happy about all of the latter, which we have received very good reviews even New Yorkers themselves. Thanks a lot, USA!

What are the highlights of the year?

 

It’s hard because we had a lot of joy with the blog, but if we had to choose we would say that there have been two great moments we will never forget:

• The first was in early January, when we discovered that Indonesia started to follow and read us … As you know I have an addiction to Bali and me connect with Indonesia was one of the wishes I thought that would be unfeasible to TrippingBites start with, so you I can not explain what I felt at the sight and just 4 months after starting the project !! My big challenge this year is to try to tell through several posts how special it was this trip … hopefully get it! Terima Kasih !!
• And the second was not too long ago, in mid-May, when @mytrip had its first assignment guide. I recognize you have to think a lot whether or not to bet on @mytrip start this new project in which design guidelines as it was a challenge and commanded respect … but we have left the skin to make it deeper, professional and detailed that we could. The best: the feedback you have given us about them and the enthusiasm with which you have received. Is the most complete and thorough job ?: @mytrip Globetrotter our first guide, a honeymoon in Japan and the Philippines, for a very special tripper, which have tried to take the rest … We are very happy and proud with the result !

What has been the most complicated post?

Although it has not been complicated by difficult, yes I would say complicated by everything I had to tell in it … Eternal (about Rome), or Travel In Time (about Athens) it had data and data to show … but curiously it was most complicated of all was L’Acqua Vecchia (Venice), and the proof was its length: no more and no less than 12,781 words, including both languages !!!! W.T.F?? I was not aware of it until one day I reviewed what has been published so far on the blog … and now with time, trying to explain why, I guess it’s just a reflection of what happens with Venice: that catches me and I let go. I wanted to tell what it is that has that makes it so special and I think that I poured everything I’m passionate about it, especially in Bites. But since then there has been a learning experience, and is trying to make the kindest and reading light post (which I think has been achieved in recent posts)

What posts have surprised more?

 

When we made the decision to evolve a bit more thematic blog, we had our doubts whether they would be accepted or not for you, especially after leading months and several specifically focused on destinations and travel. But it was a great surprise to find that Eat, Love, Life & Sleep had a good reception. Among all these new publications that have helped us streamline much the blog, there are three posts that have surprised us a lot by what I liked:

• Deco Addict, It is certainly the one that has caught our attention. I came to comment on the most demanded content decoration and seem to still be something a little different fits quite well with the blog. I can only say that I am delighted that so, because it will allow me to spend a little more space to my other great hobby !!
• And on the other hand, NYC Eat, a great challenge for the  quantity, quality and variety of restaurants that can be found in NY. In fact, only we publish 10 and we had to guard about 20 to further expand the selection! But I had a very good reception, and encourages us to continue also recommending places to eat.

What posts have been the most special?

All have had their experience behind: each is a flashback in which suddenly sensations, experiences and memories that you thought had been deactivated were dug up … but since it comes to choosing, we can say that there would be three more loaded posts by emotionality therefore represented at that time and when published:

• The first by chronology, as we have said: La Isla Bonita.  Full of nerves and excitement as the debut, the litmus test, the release before you all. Its operation would depend all us and we knew we were playing. And you see, what things are, after this first year of life is the most widely read and more followers post !!
• But now come two more recent posts and have much meaning for me: Energy many of you may not ye should too: a post on Jin Shin Jyutsu, an oriental therapy, TrippingBites? For me that moment was key, as discussed in the post, marked one of the most important trips he had made so far: the journey into myself. Now, reading it in perspective, I see its importance and I think from this post will also noticing some changes in perspective.
• And finally, Slow Travel, a declaration of intent and maybe also the destination you would not know that when I wrote Energy. The reflection of the moment in which I am also a new way to deal with travel.

How would today’s map of trippers in the World?

As we gradually getting more countries coloring! Specifically, and 68, more or less 70% of the world conquered !! We hope gradually tinting colors follow the map, and every week we have new countries to announce at our posts!

And finally … what await us this year in TrippingBites?

If you realize, gradually the blog is taking a more personal and intimate nuance. We are very pleased to have opened a new avenue towards personalization with @mytrip and we want to continue to develop the new line of posts  «Are you…?» where we will go recommending more destinations may interest you based on your preferences. This new line also gives much we play for Sleep (hotels) and Eat (restaurants) section. But certainly what most excited (and fear) gives us is-finally – start publishing posts on Bali. We know that given a year to much and we have many destinations in the head, both those who already know and those who would like to discover in the months ahead, so soon as we are about to opt for our end of year’s trip as every year we look forward with great enthusiasm …

In short, many ideas in my head and raring to count after the summer break! Again thank you all for being there, and see you next week a year old !!!
