Inauguramos el primer producto del mes del 2020, que ojalá hubiésemos descubierto antes para poder habérnoslo llevado a nuestro viaje a las islas: hicimos alguna excursión en la que los barcos no podían atracar directamente en la playa y tenías que bajarte en el agua, pero luego tenías que cambiarte de calzado para poder cruzar los senderos internos de la isla a través de la selva para poder acceder a las playas más escondidas…
Este es uno de los ejemplos en los que estas sneakers son perfectas: no solo tienen la misma función que unos escarpines, sino que también cuentan con una suela adecuada para hacer senderismo y todo el confort y la apariencia de un calzado de diario… un todo en uno que te saca de cualquier apuro.
Sneakers de Tropicfeel
Se trata de los modelos de sneakers Monsoon y Canyon, de la marca Tropicfeel, una marca que conocí por primera vez gracias a Instagram, pero que indagando un poco más sobre ella me conquistó por su historia y filosofía: la idea de crear este tipo de zapatillas surge en un viaje a Tailandia donde unos mochileros se dieron cuenta de que hacían falta este tipo de soluciones versátiles, ligeras y prácticas para otros viajeros y además impulsar la conciencia hacia el impacto negativo del turismo excesivo y el daño medioambiental cuando viajamos. Se trata de una empresa neutral en carbono, que utiliza materiales sostenibles, aprovecha las plataformas de crowdfunding para racionalizar sus procesos de producción y fomenta la colaboración para desafiar a la industria de la moda y mide el impacto de los productos que fabrican. Además, destinan un 1% de sus ventas a organizaciones que protegen la vida silvestre y la naturaleza.
Estas sneakers se denominan “2.0“ y están elaboradas con el plástico de botellas recicladas, poliéster reciclado y materiales vegan-friendly). Su tejido permite un secado rápido gracias a los tratamientos que se les aplican, se pueden utilizar hasta sin calcetines, y pesan menos de 200 gramos, por lo que se pueden llevar sin problemas hasta en el equipaje de mano. Su suela es de doble amortiguación y en la composición de la plantilla se utiliza un 8% de algas. Están disponibles de la talla 36 (talla 6 US o 4,5 UK) a la 47 (talla 12 US o 11,5 UK) y sus precios van desde los 89€ hasta los 99€ en función del modelo.
El modelo Monsoon
Es superligero y tiene un elástico que ajusta perfectamente al tobillo para tener la máxima sujección. La suela está fabricada completamente en goma resistente al deslizamiento y está disponible en 5 colores: Chive Green con cordones naranjas, Chocolate Red con cordones beige, Opal Blue (mis preferidas!), Negras con cordones turquesa y Negras 100%.
El modelo Canyon
Incluye una suela más adherente con un mejor agarre en todo tipo de superficies y su diseño es un poco más robusto que las Monsoon, con la punta reforzada y una apariencia de sneaker más conseguida con la que se puede ir prácticamente a cualquier sitio sin llamar la atención y con un cierto estilo. Estas características hacen que también su precio sea algo superior: 99€.
En este caso los colores disponibles son: Sage Green, Majolica Blue, All Navy, Core Black y Foggy Sand (beiges con cordones naranjas).
