Cuando se está de bajón lo mejor es buscar aquello que más te anime y te ayude a sacar una sonrisa… estos últimos días no he tenido muy buenas noticias y, al darme cuenta de que estaba entrando bucle he tenido que recurrir a mi mejor cura para el alma: recordar algunos de mis mejores momentos en Bali. Bali es mi “lugar feliz en el Mundo“, me transporta a serenidad, espiritualidad, playa, naturaleza salvaje, puestas de sol,  ausencia de preocupaciones y a una sensación de libertad única que inmediatamente me recarga de energía positiva. Poco a poco me he ido sintiendo mejor y me reafirmo en que viajar es la mejor medicina: ya no solo mientras estás en el destino sino también cuando lo recuerdas…

Quería compartir con vosotros algunos de esos recuerdos, en los que han aparecido muchos lugares únicos y especiales, y he pensado que no había mejor tema para esta semana que este post tan terapéutico…

 

Mis 10 lugares preferidos en Bali para cargarme de energía positiva y dejar atrás las preocupaciones

 

1. Single Fin, Uluwatu

En el primer puesto de la lista, y puede que de todas mis listas del Mundo, no puede estar otro lugar que Single Fin. Es, junto a Palaphita Kitch en Rio de Janeiro y Sunset Ashram en Ibiza, ese tipo de lugar en el que nada más entrar me recargo de energía positiva de manera instantánea y todo lo malo queda atrás como por arte de magia. Puede que cada vez haya más bares y clubs de playa en Bali, y quizás mejores o más sofisticados, pero ninguno nunca podrá llegar a ser como éste… tomar una Bintang helada a la caída de la tarde sentado en una de las banquetas de su icónico balcón asomado al índico con la música rockera o alguna de sus jam sessions de fondo y la playa de Suluban – o Blue Point como se la conoce por allí- a tus pies es simplemente memorable. Un rincón frecuentado por surferos que deslumbra por su paisaje en el que se fusionan los tonos turquesa del agua con la escarpada orilla rocosa salpicada de vegetación… en definitiva, creo que no existe un sitio mejor para empaparse de buenas vibraciones y e irte como nuevo a casa.

Lo encontraréis en Pantai Suluban, Jl Labuan Sait, Pecatu, Uluwatu, desde las 8 de la mañana hasta las 10 de la noche a diario y hasta la 1 a.m. los Domingos, y en cuanto a precios: una Bintang ronda los 3,5€, una ensalada cesar son menos de 5€ y un nasi goreng (mi plato preferido en Bali) son unos 6,5€, un mojito también unos 6,5€, un café menos de 2€ y un smoothie menos de 4€. Eso sí, los fines de semana si queréis conseguir un buen sitio os recomiendo reservar con antelación.

 

 

2. Jungle Fish, Ubud

Jungle Fish es un hotel y un restaurante, pero también abre sus puertas a clientes no alojados como pool bar pagando una entrada de unos 10€, que es como yo siempre lo he disfrutado. Este “beach bar“ sin playa (ellos mismos se presentan como “no beach beach club“) en plena jungla entre arrozales es tan exótico y exuberante que consigue transportarte al mismo cielo mientras nadas en su piscina infinita y te recreas con sus impresionantes vistas encima de una colina que domina el valle del río Osh y la selva de Gianyar. Está a unos 10 minutos en coche desde Ubud y merece mucho la pena visitarlo combinándolo con una exploración de los campos de arroz de los alrededores.

Puedes descansar en alguna de sus tumbonas (por unos 7,5€ por persona) y pedir a los camareros que te traigan alguna bebida o algo de comer, y los precios no son para nada desorbitados a pesar de pertenecer a uno de los hoteles más exclusivos. Sirven desde desayunos hasta snacks, hamburguesas o cocktails (el precio de las comidas empieza en los 3,80€, los zumos cuestan en torno a los 4,5€ y los cocktails unos 8€ aprox.). Abren cada día desde las 7:30h hasta las 22:30h y la dirección exacta es Jl. Raya Sebali, Keliki, Payangan, Kabupaten Gianyar.

 

 

3. Pura Tirta Empul, Ubud

El Templo del Manantial Sagrado es uno de los templos más icónicos de la Isla de los Dioses, visitado cada día por sus aguas sagradas que purifican el cuerpo y el espíritu a través de una serie de rituales. El templo está dedicado al dios hindú de la conciencia suprema Narayana, Vishnu, y se construyó alrededor de un gran manantial de agua durante la dinastía Warmadewa en el año 962 A.D. Su nombre proviene de una fuente de agua subterránea llamada “Tirta Empul” creada según la leyenda por el rey de los dioses Indra como elixir de la inmortalidad para recuperar sus fuerzas después de ser envenenado por rey Mayadanawa y actualmente se cree que tiene poderes mágicos curativos. Soy una apasionada de las creencias budistas y no puedo asegurar la veracidad científica de estas cosas pero sí puedo decir que tras pasar por estas aguas puede que no te conviertas en inmortal pero seguro que sales plenamente revitalizado…

Lo más característico del templo es el estanque en el que se encuentran las 3 piscinas en las que se realiza el ritual del agua: debes pasar por los diferentes chorros o fuentes y en cada uno pedir primero permiso, lavarte tres veces la cara, beber o enjuagarte y finalmente meter la cabeza bajo el agua. Así sucesivamente hasta terminar el circuito que se completa en unos 10-15 minutos. El recinto abre desde las 8 de la mañana hasta las 17h, la entrada cuesta 1€ aproximadamente y si no lleváis algo para cubrir las piernas y tobillos allí mismo os alquilan un sarong o pareo porque está prohibido acceder sin algo que te cubra.  El templo está a unos 10 kms. de Ubud, en Jl. Tirta, Manukaya, Tampaksiring, Kabupaten Gianyar.

 

4.  Dream Sea Surf Camp, Padang Padang

La zona de playa entre Padang Padang, Bingin y Dreamland me parece una de las zonas de costa con mayor encanto de la isla, y justo en esta zona está uno de los alojamientos más increíbles de Bali: Dream Sea Surf Camp. En realidad está ideado para quienes quieran aprender surf , pero si no quieres dar clases es uno de los lugares más impresionantes para hospedarse en la zona y destaco no solo su decoración y buen gusto sino también la experiencia de disfrutar de sus clases de yoga: más energéticas por la mañana para activarte todos los sentidos y más serenas al final del día para prepararte para el relax. Te dejan como nuevo y sobre todo te conectan no solo contigo mismo sino con las buenas vibraciones de la isla, haciéndote consciente de su magia. Unos días en este lugar te devuelven a la vida y te hacen resurgir de las cenizas cual ave Fénix.

Está en Jl. Labuansait No.432, Pecatu, Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, y el precio ronda los 80€ la habitación o los 400€ por un pack de una semana, desayuno incluido. Llegar a él es un tanto complicado y hay que bajar unos cuantos escalones, pero el mismo alojamiento tiene un servicio de recogida en el aeropuerto por un coste de 20€ que te facilita enormemente las cosas.

 

5. Las Puertas del Cielo, Pura Lempunyan Lahur

Una de las visitas que más te puede impresionar y dejar sin palabras en Bali es la del templo Pura Lempunyan Lahur, donde se encuentran las puertas del Cielo. Es uno de los 9 templos principales de la isla y sin embargo uno de los menos masificados, y su nombre significa Luz Sagrada. No sé si será porque está dedicado al Dios de La Paz, o porque justo en el espacio que queda abierto entre ambas puertas se enmarca casi a la perfección el Monte Agung, pero a mí es un lugar que me atrapa, me hechiza y me transmite una calma infinita. Podría quedarme horas y horas aquí y me parecerían minutos… y ver la puesta de sol es un momento casi místico.

En realidad es un conjunto de siete templos cuya visita os puede llevar varias horas y en la que para llegar al templo más distante hay que subir unos 1.700 escalones. El pago de la entrada es la voluntad, y es obligatorio el uso de un sarong o pareo. Lo ideal es combinar esta visita con otro conjunto de templos clave en Bali: Pura Besakih. Eso sí, reservaros un día completo para poder ver ambas cosas con tranquilidad.

 

 

6. La Plancha, Seminyak

Tengo que reconocer que la zona comprendida entre Kuta, Seminyak y Canggu no es una de mis favoritas en Bali. Me parece mucho menos auténtica y tanto el perfil de visitantes como la oferta de alojamientos y restauración tiene una orientación algo más occidental y de nivel más alto. En este área se concentran varios Beach clubs, bares y restaurantes animados que atraen cada día miles de visitantes: La Brisa, The Lawn, La Favela, Finns, La Laguna, KuDeTá, Potato Head Beach Club… que son bastante chic pero que me parecen más adecuados para el postureo. 

Sin embargo, en la playa Double Six al sur de Seminyak, hay un beach bar llamado La Plancha bastante guay por su rollo reggae y más tirado que los anteriores. En La Plancha puedes escoger estar en plena playa con tu mini mesa bajo una sombrilla de color balinesa, tirarte en un puf sobre la arena (las sombrillas de colores balinesas y los pufs los sacan a partir de las 18h) y pedir una jarra de sangría para compartir con tus amigos, o subir a su cubierta superior con una vista completa de la playa y del horizonte y sentarte en sus bancos pintados de colores bajo las palmeras. Todo es rústico, modesto y relajado, no es necesario guardar las formas y estás siempre entretenido viendo a los surfistas cabalgar sobre las olas o encerar sus tablas.

Destacan también sus atardeceres, en los que vas viendo cómo el cielo va cambiando poco a poco de color pasando por el naranja, el rosa y el rojo hasta que anochece con una música bastante animada y DJs en directo de fondo. En su menú hay bebidas de todo tipo: desde la sangría que os comento hasta cocktails, zumos y batidos, cervezas… y platos sencillos a la parrilla/ barbacoa y de la cocina española. Abre desde las 9 de la mañana hasta la medianoche y lo encontraréis en Jalan Mesari Beach, Seminyak, Kuta, Seminyak.

 

7.  The Deck, Nusa Lembongan

Nusa Lembongan es una especie de reducto que, a pesar de que poco a poco va sucumbiendo a los efectos del desarrollo, todavía mantiene una paz y una tranquilidad que hacen de ella una isla perfecta para no hacer nada y descansar. Aquí encontraréis The Deck: un café – beach club – cocktail bar de decoración marinera en el que también se puede desayunar (muy recomendable) o comer algo con unas vistas impresionantes del mar y del Monte Agung tras los barquitos atracados en el puerto. El ambiente encaja perfectamente con el mood de la isla: es super relajante, tranquilo, sereno, e invita a desconectar tanto si vais por la mañana para tomar un café lo disfrutáis con un buen libro como especialmente durante la puesta de sol. Además, está ubicado sobre un acantilado que tiene una especie de caminito que va a parar a una playa secreta super tranquila a la que solo suelen ir los surfistas, así que si lo visitáis no olvidéis dejaros un tiempo para descubrirla!

Buscadlo en Jungut Batu, Nusa Lembongan. Abre cada día de 7:30h de la mañana hasta las 23h. Los cocktails rondan los 6€, las cervezas unos 3€, los zumos cuestan menos de 3€ y para comer algo, tienen sandwiches o ensaladas por 6€.

8. Jatiluwih

En las afueras de Ubud y fácilmente accesibles en bici o a pie, están los campos de arroz de Tegalalang. Como primer contacto con los arrozales me parece que están fenomenal, pero el hecho de que sean tan accesibles hace que también a ciertas horas del día estén algo masificados y pierdan encanto. Sin embargo, Jatiluwih es otra historia. Primero porque se trata de un área protegida en la que no se puede edificar, y después porque su extensión es mucho mayor (unas 600 hectáreas) y observar tanta cantidad de vegetación multiplica las sensaciones por cien. Existen diferentes senderos para adentrarse en estos paisajes maravillosos y disfrutar de una vistas inigualables en las que en ocasiones hasta se puede ver el Monte Agung de fondo. A veces me paraba a observar y pensaba que aquello no podía ser real, de verdad que es un lugar único en el mundo que te hace sentir una libertad y una conexión con la naturaleza muy especial.

Para llegar a Jatiluwih no existe transporte público, por lo que tendréis que alquilar una moto o contratar un conductor. Una vez allí, hay que pagar una entrada de unos 2,40€ para acceder al interior.

 

 

9. Pura Luhur Uluwatu

El templo Uluwatu rinde homenaje a los espíritus marinos de la costa sur de Bali y está justo en la punta de un acantilado con unas vistas sobrecogedoras sobre el Océano Índico. Subir aquí al amanecer y ver los primeros rayos de sol en solitario sin turistas alrededor y con la silueta entrecortada del templo es una experiencia que se te queda para siempre en la memoria. Pero también lo es asistir a alguno de sus espectáculos Kecak Dance de danza balinesa (y el Kecak Fire Dance con fuego) en el anfiteatro que está justo al lado del templo, que suelen celebrarse durante la puesta de sol (aunque en este caso está mucho más concurrido). Esta representación artística emblemática de Bali es famosa por utilizar voces humanas en lugar de instrumentos para acompañar la danza y asistir como espectador en la cima del acantilado impacta muchísimo, especialmente cuando culmina con la danza del fuego ya en la oscuridad.

Las entradas pueden reservarse online o comprarse in situ por precios que oscilan entre los según 4,7€ y los 6,5€ en función de la temporada. Super recomendable.

 

 

10. Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida

Descender a Kelingking Beach debería estar considerado un deporte de riesgo: una escarpada caminata de 400 metros sobre el acantilado con escalones imposibles que a veces se limitan a una serie de salientes en el terreno y lo que puede considerarse una “baranda“ hecha con bambú que tampoco da demasiada confianza en lo que a seguridad se refiere. En total lleva aproximadamente una hora llegar abajo y hay que ir con muchísimo cuidado, pero lo peor yo creo que es la subida de después que puede alargarse hasta las dos horas 😉

Hay otra forma más fácil de llegar a ella en barco desde Sanur en un trayecto de unos 50 minutos y unos 2€, pero le quita toda la gracia y las vistas desde el mirador que hay en lo alto de la playa. También hay mucha gente que en lugar de bajar y subir después, coge un camino que hay a la derecha en el punto en el que empiezan las escaleras que bordea el acantilado en el que hay un montón de miradores ideales para ver la puesta de sol (eso sí, si decidís coger este camino tened mucho cuidado porque no hay barandilla)

Esta playa está considerada como una de las 25 mejores playas del mundo y se caracteriza por sus formaciones rocosas que parecen la silueta de un Tyranosaurio Rex. El riesgo añadido hace que llegar a ella sea todo un reto, y una vez estás abajo y recuperas el aliento te sientes casi invencible o al menos feliz de haber llegado sano y salvo, jajaja. Sin duda, otro de los rincones de Bali que te recargan de energía y adrenalina y que te dejan como nuevo. 

 

Como veis, en Bali no faltan motivos para cargarse de energía positiva cada día… espero que os haya gustado mi selección de 10 lugares con buenas vibraciones en la isla, ¿cuáles son los vuestros?

When you are down, the best thing is to find the one that most encourages you and help you get a smile … these last days I have not had very good news and, when I realized that I was entering a loop, I had to resort to my best cure for the soul: remember some of my best moments in Bali. Bali is my «happy place in the World», it transports me to serenity, spirituality, beach, wild nature, sunsets, absence of worries and to a feeling of unique freedom that immediately recharges me with positive energy. Little by little I have been feeling better and I reaffirm that traveling is the best medicine: not only while you are at your destination but also when you remember it …

I wanted to share with you some of those memories, in which many unique and special places have appeared, and I thought that there was no better topic for this week than this therapeutic post …

 

My 10 favorite places in Bali to charge me with positive energy and leave worries behind

 

1. Single Fin, Uluwatu

n the first position of the list, and maybe of all my World lists, there can not be another place than Single Fin. It is, together with Palaphita Kitch in Rio de Janeiro and Sunset Ashram in Ibiza, that kind of place in which as soon as I enter I recharge positive energy instantaneously and everything bad is left behind as if by magic. There may be more and more beach bars and clubs in Bali, and perhaps better or more sophisticated, but none of them will ever be able to be like this one … take an ice cold Bintang at the end of the afternoon sitting on one of the sidewalks its iconic balcony overlooking the indian rock music or some of its jam sessions in the background and  Suluban Beach – or Blue Point as it is known there – at your feet is simply memorable. A corner frequented by surfers that dazzles for its landscape in which the turquoise tones of the water merge with the steep rocky shore dotted with vegetation … in short, I think there is no better place to soak up good vibes and leave like new to home.

You will find it in Pantai Suluban, Jl Labuan Sait, Pecatu, Uluwatu, from 8 in the morning until 10 at night every day and until 1 a.m. Sundays, and in terms of prices: a Bintang around 3.5 €, a cesar salad are less than € 5 and a nasi goreng (my favorite dish in Bali) are about € 6.5, a mojito also about 6, € 5, a coffee less than € 2 and a smoothie less than € 4. Yes, on weekends if you want to get a good site I recommend you book in advance.

 

 

2. Jungle Fish, Ubud

Jungle Fish is a hotel and a restaurant, but it also opens its doors to clients not staying as a pool bar paying an entrance fee of around € 10, which is how I have always enjoyed it. This «beach bar» without a beach (they are presented as «no beach beach club») in the middle of the jungle between paddy fields is so exotic and exuberant that it transports you to the same sky while you swim in its infinity pool and you recreate with its impressive views over from a hill overlooking the valley of the Osh River and the jungle of Gianyar. It is about 10 minutes by car from Ubud and it is very worth visiting, combined with an exploration of the surrounding rice fields.

You can rest in one of their loungers (for € 7.5 per person) and ask the waiters to bring you some drink or something to eat, and the prices are not at all exorbitant despite belonging to one of the most Exclusive They serve from breakfasts to snacks, hamburgers or cocktails (the price of meals starts at € 3.80, juices cost around € 4.5 and cocktails about € 8 approx.). They open every day from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm and the exact address is Jl. Raya Sebali, Keliki, Payangan, Kabupaten Gianyar.

 

 

3. Pura Tirta Empul, Ubud

The Temple of the Sacred Spring is one of the most iconic temples of the Island of the Gods, visited every day by its sacred waters that purify the body and spirit through a series of rituals. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu god of the supreme consciousness Narayana, Vishnu, and was built around a large spring of water during the Warmadewa dynasty in the year 962 AD. Its name comes from an underground water source called “Tirta Empul» created according to legend by the king of the gods Indra as the elixir of immortality to recover his strength after being poisoned by King Mayadanawa and is currently believed to have healing magical powers . I am passionate about Buddhist beliefs and I can not assure the scientific truthfulness of these things but I can say that after passing through these waters you may not become immortal but you will be fully revitalized …

The most characteristic of the temple is the pond in which there are 3 pools in which the water ritual is performed: you must go through the different jets or fountains and in each one ask first for permission, wash your face three times, drink or Rinse and finally put your head under the water. So on until the circuit is completed and completed in about 10-15 minutes. The enclosure opens from 8 in the morning until 5pm, the entrance costs approximately € 1 and if you do not have something to cover the legs and ankles there they rent a sarong or pareo because it is forbidden to access without something to cover you. The temple is about 10 kms. of Ubud, in Jl. Tirta, Manukaya, Tampaksiring, Kabupaten Gianyar.

 

4.  Dream Sea Surf Camp, Padang Padang

The beach area between Padang Padang, Bingin and Dreamland Beach seems to me one of the most charming coastal areas of the island, and right in this area is one of Bali’s most incredible accommodations: Dream Sea Surf Camp. Actually it is designed for those who want to learn surfing, but if you do not want to teach it is one of the most impressive places to stay in the area and not only stand out its decoration and good taste but also the experience of enjoying their yoga classes: more energetic in the morning to activate all your senses and more serene at the end of the day to prepare for relaxation. They leave you as new and above all they connect you not only with yourself but with the good vibrations of the island, making you aware of its magic. A few days in this place bring you back to life and make you rise from the ashes like a Phoenix bird.

It is in Jl. Labuansait No.432, Pecatu, Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, and the price is around € 80 for the room or € 400 for a pack of one week, breakfast included. Getting to it is somewhat complicated and you have to go down a few steps, but the same accommodation has a pick-up service at the airport for a cost of € 20 that makes things much easier.

 

5. Heaven Doors, Pura Lempunyan Lahur

One of the visits that can most impress you and leave you speechless in Bali is that of the Pura Lempunyan Lahur temple, where the doors of Heaven are located. It is one of the 9 main temples of the island and yet one of the least overcrowded, and its name means Holy Light. I do not know if it is because it is dedicated to the God of La Paz, or because just in the space that is left open between both doors is framed almost perfectly Mount Agung, but it is a place that catches me, enchanting me and transmits me an infinite calm. I could stay here for hours and it would seem like minutes … and watching the sunset is an almost mystical moment.

In fact it is a set of seven temples whose visit can take you several hours and in which to reach the most distant temple you have to climb about 1,700 steps. The payment of the entrance is the will, and the use of a sarong or pareo is obligatory. The ideal is to combine this visit with another set of key temples in Bali: Pura Besakih. Yes, book a full day to see both things with confidence.

 

 

6. La Plancha, Seminyak

I have to admit that the area between Kuta, Seminyak and Canggu is not one of my favorites in Bali. It seems much less authentic to me and both the profile of visitors and the offer of accommodation and restaurants have a somewhat more western and higher level orientation. In this area there are several Beach clubs, bars and animated restaurants that attract thousands of visitors every day: La Brisa, The Lawn, La Favela, Finns, La Laguna, KuDeTá, Potato Head Beach Club… quite chic but more suitable for posturing.

However, on Double Six Beach south of Seminyak, there is a pretty cool beach bar called La Plancha with reggae vibes and more relaxed than the previous ones. In La Plancha you can choose to be on the beach with your mini table under a Balinese umbrella, throw yourself in a pouffe on the sand (Balinese colored umbrellas and poufs take them from 6pm) and order a pitcher of sangria to share with your friends, or climb to its upper deck with a full view of the beach and the horizon and sit on its benches painted in colors under the palm trees. Everything is rustic, modest and relaxed, it is not necessary to keep the forms and you are always entertained watching the surfers ride on the waves or wax their boards.

Also highlight their sunsets, in which you will see how the sky changes little by little in color going through orange, pink and red until nightfall with a pretty animated music and live DJs in the background. In its menu there are drinks of all kinds: from the sangria that I mention to cocktails, juices and smoothies, beers … and simple dishes on the grill / barbecue and Spanish cuisine. It opens from 9 in the morning until midnight and you will find it at Jalan Mesari Beach, Seminyak, Kuta, Seminyak.

 

7.  The Deck, Nusa Lembongan

Nusa Lembongan is a kind of redoubt that, although little by little it is succumbing to the effects of development, still maintains a peace and tranquility that make it a perfect island to do nothing and rest. Here you will find The Deck: a cafe – beach club – cocktail bar with marine decoration where you can also have breakfast (highly recommended) or eat something with stunning views of the sea and Mount Agung behind the boats moored in the harbor. The environment fits perfectly with the mood of the island: it is super relaxing, quiet, serene, and invites to disconnect both if you go in the morning for a coffee you enjoy it with a good book and especially during the sunset. In addition, it is located on a cliff that has a kind of path that goes to a secret beach that only surfers usually go, so if you visit do not forget to leave some time to discover it!

Look for it in Jungut Batu, Nusa Lembongan. It opens every day from 7: 30h in the morning until 11pm. The cocktails are around € 6, the beers are € 3, the juices cost less than € 3 and to eat something, they have sandwiches or salads for € 6.

8. Jatiluwih

On the outskirts of Ubud and easily accessible by bike or on foot, are the rice fields of Tegalalang. As a first contact with the rice fields I think they are phenomenal, but the fact that they are so accessible means that at certain times of the day they are somewhat overcrowded and lose their charm. However, Jatiluwih is another story. First because it is a protected area that can not be built, and then because its extension is much larger (about 600 hectares) and observe so much vegetation multiplies sensations by a hundred. There are different paths to get into these wonderful landscapes and enjoy unparalleled views in which sometimes you can even see Mount Agung in the background. Sometimes I would stop to observe and I thought that it could not be real, it really is a unique place in the world that makes you feel a freedom and a connection with the very special nature.

To get to Jatiluwih there is no public transport, so you will have to rent a motorcycle or hire a driver. Once there, you have to pay an entrance fee of about € 2.40 to access the interior.

 

 

9. Pura Luhur Uluwatu

Uluwatu temple pays tribute to the marine spirits of the south coast of Bali and is right at the tip of a cliff with breathtaking views over the Indian Ocean. Climb here at dawn and see the first rays of sun alone without tourists around and with the broken silhouette of the temple is an experience that stays forever in your memory. 10. Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida

Descending to Kelingking Beach should be considered a risky sport: a steep walk of 400 meters on the cliff with impossible steps that are sometimes limited to a series of ledges in the terrain and what can be considered a «railing» made with bamboo that Nor does it give too much confidence in what concerns security. In total it takes about an hour to get down and you have to be very careful, but the worst I think is the rise after that can be extended until two hours;)

There is another easier way to get to it by boat from Sanur in a journey of about 50 minutes and about € 2, but it takes away all the grace and views from the lookout on the top of the beach. There are also many people who, instead of going down and going up, take a path on the right at the point where the stairs start that borders the cliff, where there are plenty of viewpoints ideal for watching the sunset ( yes, if you decide to take this road, be very careful because there is no handrail)

This beach is considered one of the 25 best beaches in the world and is characterized by its rock formations that look like the silhouette of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The added risk makes reaching it a challenge, and once you’re down and you catch your breath you feel almost invincible or at least happy to have arrived safely, hahaha. Undoubtedly, another corner of Bali that recharge you with energy and adrenaline and leave you as new.
