Buon giorno a tutti!

Tengo una regla no escrita: cuando viajo, intento no repetir destino para poder descubrir siempre sitios nuevos. Pero toda regla tiene sus excepciones y Roma es una de ellas, no me canso nunca de volver y seguiría repitiendo una y mil veces. El barrio del Trastevere es en gran parte responsable de ello: romántico, bohemio y decadente a partes iguales, es un lugar lleno de magia y de secretos que además tiende a sorprenderme cada vez más en cada visita porque se reinventa con muchísima rapidez, siendo una de las zonas más vivas y vibrantes de la ciudad.

Entre sus laberínticas callejuelas se esconden preciosas tiendecitas, hoteles boutique y sobre todo pequeñas trattorias y casas de comida en las que deleitarse con las recetas de la auténtica cucina italiana tradicional. Esta semana os traigo siete de mis preferidas, approfittare!!

 

7 pequeños grandes lugares para saborear – todavía más- el Trastevere

 

1. Ai Marmi. Viale di Trastevere, 53

Si estáis en el Trastevere, es parada obligatoria. Es uno de esos sitios sencillo y sin pretensiones donde la carta son unas hojas encuadernadas con canutillo, no hay posibilidad de reserva, las colas son interminables (aunque sorprendentemente rápidas), compartes mesa con desconocidos y no existen manteles… pero donde la comida es tan maravillosa que todo lo demás se te olvida. Una experiencia única, divertida, eléctrica, ruidosa, inolvidable. Siempre que hemos ido hemos pedido pizza: las hacen siguiendo el método clásico romano, ves como las hacen en el momento en su horno de 20 en 20 y a pesar de esta rapidez son una verdadera obra de arte… pero también son famosos por su bacalao y por sus supplì o croquetas de arroz con mozzarella empanadas. Los precios son ajustadísimos para la calidad que tienen y sobre todo merece la pena vivir la atmósfera de este lugar cuyo mejor aval es que siempre siempre está lleno de romanos. Probadlo y me contáis si os ha gustado tanto como a mí.

 

2. Carlo Menta. Via della Lungaretta, 101

Otro clásico de la zona, popular por sus precios casi de risa. Si hay un restaurante barato en Roma que de verdad merezca la pena es Carlo Menta, con su característico coche antiguo aparcado en la entrada y su terraza siempre llena hasta la bandera. El sitio en sí ofrece la pintoresca estampa del Trastevere y es un lugar peculiar en el que te sientas a comer junto a otros comensales y vives esa experiencia de comer todos juntos “a la italiana“ de las películas. Los platos están muy buenos (hay ñoquis, pizzas, tiramisú…) pero siempre acordes a su precio (cuestan en torno a los 4€), por lo que no llevéis tampoco la expectativa de delicattesen. Como Ai Marmi, es una pura experiencia.

 

3. Da Enzo. Via dei Vascellari, 29

Soy una fan empedernida de los spaghetti cacio e pepe, y uno de mis favoritos lo sirven en Da Enzo. Para la receta utilizan un pecorino espectacular, super cremoso pero al mismo tiempo ligero que no he encontrado en ningún otro lugar del Mundo. El restaurante se esconde en una callejuela tranquila y poco transitada en pleno corazón del Trastevere rodeado de puertas desvencijadas, lo que le da esa atmósfera especial de auténtica trattoria italiana. Su cocina se basa en recetas tradicionales romanas y además de sus cacio e pepe destaca su burrata, la lasaña, sus fiori di zucca (flores de calabaza rellenas de mozzarella) o la mousse de mascarpone con fresas salvajes, mmmmm!!!

 

4. Corsetti 1921. Piazza San Cosimato, 27

Corsetti

Como alternativa a los anteriores restaurantes más populares y sencillos, Corsetti es un restaurante de cocina italiana de primera calidad con un local más elegante y una decoración super cuidada para disfrutar al 100% tanto de la comida como del ambiente. Los precios son más altos pero me parece muy buena opción para un momento un poco más especial. La pasta es como de otro mundo de lo buena que está, el risotto, las alcachofas, el tiramisú, las almejas, el queso fundido con trufa negra… todo sabrosísimo y muy especial.

 

5. Mamasi. Via Luciano Manara, 64

Es más un lugar de tapeo que un restaurante propiamente dicho, pero es ideal para la hora del aperitivo o para empezar la noche: tablas de embutidos, quesos, vinos, cervezas artesanales, maridajes… una tasquita con mucha personalidad y encanto en la que degustar los sabores de Italia. El sitio es acogedor, cálido e íntimo y la comida deliciosa.

 

6. Luppolo Station. Via Giuseppe Parini, 4

Esta especie de local fusión en el que se pueden degustar cervezas artesanales de todo el mundo (hasta 20 grifos de cerveza distintos mas un sinfín de botellas) mientras se escucha buena música y se disfruta de la cocina italiana en el corazón del Trastevere está ambientado en los años 20 y en la Belle Epoque y te acoge en una atmósfera de otra época que recrea una estación de tren. Es mas bien un pub en el que se puede picar algo pero todo lo que ponen para comer está buenísimo y tiene un cierto toque vanguardista, desde la pasta en cualquiera de sus versiones hasta el pollo frito pasando por el salmón, el bacalao o las hamburguesas. Muy guay para pasar un buen rato por la zona.

 

7. Grazia e Graziella. Largo M.D. Fumasoni Biondi, 5

Terminamos con un restaurante romántico y con mucho encanto, Grazia e Graziella, donde nada más entrar te ofrecen un vin brulé italiano (un vino caliente dulzón) y después te dan la carta para elegir entre todo tipo de platos caseros, incluida pasta sin gluten y opciones vegetarianas. Pero lo que más me gusta de este sitio es sobre todo la atención de los camareros, super simpáticos, amables y muy divertidos! Las patatas con ricotta y pimienta de entrantes están para chuparse los dedos y después cualquiera de sus platos de pasta o la lasaña son espectaculares.

I have an unwritten rule: when I travel, I try not to repeat a destination in order to always discover new places. But every rule has its exceptions and Rome is one of them, I never tire of going back and I would keep repeating it a thousand times. The neighborhood of Trastevere is largely responsible for this: romantic, bohemian and decadent in equal parts, is a place full of magic and secrets that also tends to surprise me more and more each time because it is reinvented with great speed, being a of the most vibrant and vibrant areas of the city.

Among its labyrinthine streets are hidden small shops, boutique hotels and especially small trattorias and food houses where you can enjoy the recipes of the authentic traditional Italian cucina. This week I bring you seven of my favorites, approfittare!

 

7 small great places to taste – even more – the Trastevere

 

1. Ai Marmi. Viale di Trastevere, 53

If you are in Trastevere, it is a mandatory stop. It is one of those simple and unpretentious sites where the letter are bound sheets with canutillo, there is no possibility of reservation, the queues are endless (although surprisingly fast), you share a table with strangers and there are no tablecloths … but where the food It is so wonderful that everything else you forget. A unique, fun, electric, noisy, unforgettable experience. Whenever we have gone we have ordered pizza: they are made following the classic Roman method, you see how they do it at the moment in their oven of 20 in 20 and despite this speed they are a true work of art … but they are also famous for their cod and for their supplì or rice croquettes with mozzarella empanadas. The prices are very tight for the quality they have and above all it is worth living the atmosphere of this place whose best guarantee is that it is always full of Romans. Try it and tell me if you liked it as much as I did.

 

2. Carlo Menta. Via della Lungaretta, 101

Another classic in the area, popular for its almost laughable prices. If there is a cheap restaurant in Rome that is really worthwhile, it is Carlo Menta, with its characteristic old car parked at the entrance and its terrace always full to the flag. The site itself offers the picturesque image of Trastevere and is a peculiar place where you sit down to eat with other diners and live that “Italian“ experience of eating together seen of the movies. The dishes are good (there are gnocchi, pizzas, tiramisu …) but always according to their price (they cost around € 4), so do not take the expectation of delicacies. Like Ai Marmi, it’s a pure experience.

 

3. Da Enzo. Via dei Vascellari, 29

I am fan of cacio e pepe spaghetti, and one of my favorites is served at Da Enzo. For the recipe they use a spectacular pecorino, super creamy but at the same time light that I have not found anywhere else in the World. The restaurant is hidden in a quiet and little-traveled alley in the heart of Trastevere surrounded by dilapidated doors, which gives it that special atmosphere of authentic Italian trattoria. Its cuisine is based on traditional Roman recipes and in addition to its cacio e pepe highlights its burrata, lasagna, fiori di zucca (pumpkin flowers stuffed with mozzarella) or mascarpone mousse with wild strawberries, mmmmm!

 

4. Corsetti 1921. Piazza San Cosimato, 27

Corsetti

As an alternative to the previous more popular and simple restaurants, Corsetti is a restaurant of top quality Italian cuisine with a more elegant place and a super careful decoration to enjoy 100% of both the food and the atmosphere. The prices are higher but I think it’s a good option for a little more special moment. The pasta is like another world of how good it is, the risotto, the artichokes, the tiramisu, the clams, the melted cheese with black truffle … all tasty and very special.

 

5. Mamasi. Via Luciano Manara, 64

It is more a place of tapas than a restaurant proper, but it is ideal for aperitif time or to start the night: cold cuts, cheeses, wines, craft beers, pairings … a tasca with a lot of personality and charm to taste the flavors of Italy. The place is cozy, warm and intimate and the food delicious.

 

6. Luppolo Station. Via Giuseppe Parini, 4

This kind of local fusion in which you can taste craft beers from around the world (up to 20 different beer taps plus endless bottles) while listening to good music and enjoying the Italian cuisine in the heart of Trastevere is set in the 20s and in the Belle Epoque and welcomes you in an atmosphere of another era that recreates a train station. It is more a pub in which you can snack on something but everything you put to eat is great and has a certain avant-garde touch, from pasta in any of its versions to fried chicken through salmon, cod or hamburgers . Very cool to have a good time in the area.

 

7. Grazia e Graziella. Largo M.D. Fumasoni Biondi, 5

We ended up with a romantic restaurant with a lot of charm, Grazia e Graziella, where upon entering you will be offered an Italian wine brulé (a warm sweet wine) and then you will have the choice to choose from all kinds of homemade dishes, including gluten-free pasta. vegetarian options. But what I like the most about this place is the attention of the waiters, super friendly, kind and very funny! The potatoes with ricotta and pepper entrees are finger-licking and then any of their pasta dishes or lasagna are spectacular.
