“La mejor manera de visualizar el estilo escandinavo es imaginar un bol de madera lleno de leche“

 

Esta semana os traigo un post de DECO, que sé que os gustan mucho! En este caso sobre el estilo nórdico, ese que triunfa en Instagram. Pero, a pesar de ser la manera en la que se denomina esta manera de decorar, dentro de este estilo podemos encontrar diferentes corrientes y tendencias, e incluso en los últimos tiempos podemos descubrirlo fusionado con otros estilos como el árabe, el industrial o el rústico… así que es posible, sean como sean nuestros gustos decorativos, aprovecharnos de su gran versatilidad.

Y especialmente en estas fechas, en las que empezando por las grandes marcas y tiendas de decoración del hogar y terminando por Pinterest, nos inundan con ideas para  engalanar nuestras casas para recibir la Navidad… de todas ellas siempre me han llamado más la atención las que se inspiran en el estilo nórdico porque me parecen las más depuradas pero al mismo tiempo las más bonitas, familiares y acogedoras. 

Así que, si os apetece inspiración nórdica para decorar vuestro hogar estas fechas tan señaladas, seguid leyendo este post!!

 

¿Cómo podemos identificar este estilo?

Aunque son pocas y muy sencillas, las claves decorativas del estilo nórdico son muy eficaces y dan como resultado estos ambientes característicos tan fotogénicos, amplios, abiertos y cercanos a lo natural. Las tres reglas más importantes para ponerlo en escena son:

• 1. El máximo aprovechamiento de la luz para conseguir su tan característica claridad, y la utilización del blanco como tono estrella. Esto es una clara consecuencia de las escasas horas de sol con las que estas zonas cuentan a lo largo del año y una máxima en este esquema de decoración, donde el objetivo es intensificar toda la luz natural y el calor de los rayos del sol que entran en casa.

 

• 2. El mobiliario funcional y minimalista, donde los muebles son enormemente versátiles pero sin perder ese toque de diseño característico de los países nórdicos: un diseño atemporal que siempre está a la moda. Hechos de madera de abeto, pino o abedul, reproducen la simpleza característica de los paisajes escandinavos y reproducen las formas típicas de la naturaleza.

 

•  3. La incorporación de elementos handmade, naturales o con motivos geométricos en tonos poco saturados, que aportan esa necesaria calidez sin sobrecargas ni florituras. Materiales como la madera, el cuero, el lino y el algodón, cálidas alfombras con un protagonismo moderado o papeles pintados suaves que reproduzcan un dibujo sutil en las paredes son elementos que ayudan a dar juego y poner cada uno nuestro toque personal.

 

Sus diferentes versiones

Pero, como hemos comentado, dentro de un mismo estilo encontramos matices e intensidades…

El nórdico finlandés

Se caracteriza por un aire mucho más rústico y salpicado de toques naturales, y en esta tendencia se destaca por encima de todo el papel fundamental de los detalles. El uso de materiales reciclados y ecológicos, añadir mantas o plaids de borreguito o textiles con estampados inspirados en el norte como copos de nieve o flores sencillas son fundamentales para lograr ese look final invernal, pero tan informal, cálido y acogedor como lo son los finlandeses.

 

 

El nórdico holandés

En este caso, hablamos de una decoración muy funcional y ordenada pero a la que se le añaden notas vintage y elementos elegantes combinando tonos mate marrones, grises, verdes y naranjas apagados con un fondo muy blanco y luminoso. Como resultado, se crean atmósferas relajantes que pueden incluir pátinas, piedra o patrones como el de un tablero de ajedrez. Y para terminar, la pieza clave de este estilo: las lámparas, con las que se juega utilizando varias unidades juntas o bien con sus tamaños, abundando las más grandes para dar protagonismo a las estancias.

 

El nórdico danés

Caracterizado por un aire más industrial, el estilo nórdico en Dinamarca puede que sea más rotundo y menos sutil, pero cuenta con un marcado carácter. En él se utilizan piezas de metal y forja, lámparas “de esqueleto“, colores más oscuros… y se generan ambientes de atmósfera más alternativa.

 

 

… Y el nórdico sueco

Representa el estilo escandinavo más clásico en el que encontramos colores blancos, grises, beiges y tonos apagados, creando contrastes suaves que no llamen mucho la atención. En él se utilizan muebles de madera de toque shabby o estilo casa de campo, y la máxima es la pureza de los espacios en los que nada satura, sobrecarga o adquiere un excesivo protagonismo. Minimalismo en estado puro en el que piezas como la silla DSW de Eames o el taburete E60 de Alvar Aalto se han convertido casi en iconos.

Un look scandy para esta Navidad

La Navidad… esa imagen de estar calentitos en casa junto a la chimenea con una taza de café caliente viendo cómo la nieve va cayendo y los copos dejan una fina capa blanca en el alfeizar de la ventana… Esta fantasía siempre la imagino en un ambiente luminoso, sencillo, cómodo y acogedor, de colores dulces y claros, con mucha madera… que encaja perfectamente con el estilo que estamos comentando.

1. Un lienzo en Blanco

Se podría decir que el blanco es el protagonista navideño nórdico por excelencia. En la decoración del árbol, de la mesa, en los pequeños detalles y motivos decorativos… apostar por el blanco es sinónimo de acertar. Me parece un color precioso que evoca la nieve en los bosques del norte y aporta al espacio luz, equilibrio y serenidad. Así que estas navidades, no dudéis un segundo y apostadlo todo a este color!

2. Adornos de madera y detalles naturales

Puede que sea uno de los trucos que más me gusten, ya no solo por lo bonito que queda, sino por poder hacerse totalmente handmade con cuerdas, ramas, o incluso corchos como los pequeños abetos de la foto. Adornar la puerta de casa con una gran corona de ramas, envolver los regalos alrededor del árbol con papel reciclado

 

 

 

3. Bodegones handmade

Los bodegones son siempre tendencia y son una alternativa ideal y diferente para sustituir al clásico pesebre. En el estilo escandinavo apuestan por composiciones sencillas, pequeñas y simples en base a la combinación de diferentes elementos que combinen entre sí como casitas de madera con velas, ciervos, farolillos, ramas de árboles en jarrones de cristal, estrellas de cuerda o papel… si además los ilumináis con una guirnalda o un pequeño cable de luces LED el efecto será mucho más atractivo!

 

4. Árbol de Navidad minimalista

Dicen que en una navidad al estilo escandinavo, el árbol de Navidad debe cumplir ciertas reglas. Lo más deseable es optar por árboles naturales y no siempre tienen que tener la forma clásica de abeto… se pueden optar por alternativas minimalistas confeccionadas con ramas desnudas que decorar. Hay que evitar a toda costa los adornos ostentosos, dorados y brillantes, y sustituirlos por colgantes sencillos de madera o cristal. Si nos decantamos por las típicas bolas navideñas, mejor en tonos pastel y totalmente mates, y la última recomendación sería soltar las riendas de nuestra creatividad y ser originales, confeccionando nuestros propios adornos hechos a mano para nuestro árbol.

 

 

5. Mesas luminosas y sencillas

Atención! Que la mesa se decore de forma sencilla no significa que quede sosa… de hecho las mesas navideñas escandinavas tienen un encanto especial y resultan muy armónicas al estar mucho menos abigarrada de cosas y usar tonos más suaves coordinados con el resto de la decoración navideña de la casa (entre los que el blanco suele ser el gran protagonista). Es muy recomendable usar velas blancas y centros naturales hechos con ramas, cuerdas y piñas secas. Otra gran tendencia es no usar mantel y lucir la vajilla sobre la veta natural de la madera.

 

 

6. Luces y Guirnaldas

Y no solo con el blanco vamos a conseguir luminosidad… en este estilo decorativo abundan las guirnaldas, velas y pequeños objetos luminosos para que todo brille con intensidad. Colgados del techo, de la pared, en escaleras de madera o estanterías, e incluso de maneras más originales como colgadas de una rama de árbol con cuerdas… cuanto más recicladas, naturales y originales mejor quedarán. También se pueden recortar figuras de abetos, estrellas o renos en cartones de papel reciclado y rodear la silueta con lucecitas LED… el límite lo pone vuestra imaginación! Repartidlos por toda la casa y veréis como se convierten en grandes protagonistas.

 

7. Y no olvidar el recibidor!!!

Para terminar, es importante cuidar que nuestro recibidor entone con el resto de decoración de la casa… va a ser la primera impresión “navideña“ para todos los invitados y lo mejor es que “resuma“ el estilo general que hayamos elegido… como hay varios detalles naturales no viene mal colocar una cesta rústica con ramas y troncos, alguna caja forrada de papel reciclado rodeadas por un lazo de cuerda como si fuese un regalo, luces y guirnaldas pequeñas, un conjunto de velas blancas de diferentes tamaños agrupadas y encendidas…

This week a Bring you another DECO post, I know you like them very much! In this case about the Nordic Style, that triumphs on Instagram. But, despite being the way in which this way of decorating is called, within this style we can find different currents and trends, and even in recent times we can discover it fused with other styles such as Arabic, industrial or rustic … so it is possible, whatever our decorative tastes may be, to take advantage of its great versatility.

And especially in these dates, in which starting with the big brands and home decoration stores and ending with Pinterest, we are inundated with ideas to decorate our homes to receive Christmas … of all of them I have always been more struck those that are inspired by the Nordic style because I think they are the most refined but at the same time the most beautiful, familiar and cozy.

How can we identify this style?

Although they are few and very simple, the decorative keys of the Nordic Style are very effective and result in these characteristic atmospheres so photogenic, wide, open and close to the natural. The three most important rules to put on the scene are:

• 3. The incorporation of handmade, natural or geometric motifs in low saturated tones, which provide that necessary warmth without overloads or frills. Materials such as wood, leather, linen and cotton, warm carpets with a moderate role or soft wallpaper that reproduce a subtle drawing on the walls are elements that help to give play and put each our personal touch.

But, as we have said, within a single style we find nuances and intensities …

The Finnish Nordic

It is characterized by a much more rustic air and sprinkled with natural touches, and in this tendency the fundamental role of the details stands out above all. The use of recycled and ecological materials, adding blankets or plaids of sheep or textiles with patterns inspired by the north as snowflakes or simple flowers are essential to achieve that final winter look, but as informal, warm and welcoming as are the Finns .

 

 

The Dutch Nordic

In this case, we are talking about a very functional and tidy decoration but to which vintage notes and elegant elements are added combining matte shades of gray, green and orange with a very white and luminous background. As a result, relaxing atmospheres are created that can include patinas, stone or patterns like that of a chessboard. And finally, the key piece of this style: the lamps, which are played using several units together or with their sizes, with the largest ones abound to give prominence to the rooms.

 

The Danish Nordic

Characterized by a more industrial touch, the Nordic style in Denmark may be more resounding and less subtle, but it has a marked character. In it, metal and forge pieces are used, «skeleton» lamps, darker colors … and more alternative atmospheres are generated.

 

 

… and Swedish Nordic

It represents the most classic Scandinavian style in which we find white, gray, beige and muted tones, creating soft contrasts that do not attract much attention. In it shabby touch wooden furniture or country house style is used, and the maximum is the purity of the spaces in which nothing saturates, overloads or acquires an excessive prominence. Minimalism in its purest state in which pieces such as the DSW chair by Eames or the E60 stool by Alvar Aalto have become almost icons.

A scandy look for this Christmas

Christmas … that image of being warm at home by the fireplace with a cup of hot coffee watching the snow fall and the flakes leave a thin white layer on the window sill … This fantasy I always imagine in a bright, simple, comfortable and cozy environment, with sweet and clear colors, with lots of wood … that fits perfectly with the style we are discussing.

1. A black canvas

You could say that white is the quintessential Nordic Christmas star. In the decoration of the tree, the table, in the small details and decorative motifs … betting on white is synonymous with hitting. It is highly recommended to use white candles and natural centers made with branches, ropes and dried pineapples. Another great tendency is not to use tablecloth and to show the tableware on the natural grain of the wood.

 

 

 

6. Lights & garlands

And not only with white we will achieve luminosity … in this decorative style there are plenty of garlands, candles and small luminous objects so that everything shines with intensity. Hanging from the ceiling, from the wall, on wooden stairs or shelves, and even in more original ways like hanging from a tree branch with ropes … the more recycled, natural and original they will be better. You can also cut figures of fir trees, stars or reindeer in recycled paper cartons and surround the silhouette with LED lights … the limit is set by your imagination! Distribute them throughout the house and you will see how they become great protagonists.

 

7. And do not forget the hall!!!

To finish, it is important to take care that our hall entones with the rest of the decoration of the house … it will be the first «Christmas» impression for all the guests and the best thing is that it «summarizes» the general style that we have chosen. As there are several natural details it is not bad to place a rustic basket with branches and trunks, some box lined with recycled paper surrounded by a rope loop as if it were a gift, lights and small garlands, a set of white candles of different sizes grouped and lit …
