En este nuevo post de Eat os propongo un viaje culinario – y cafetero – por la ciudad del amor, pero esta vez me apetecía hablaros más que de sus restaurantes más lujosos y exclusivos (que en Paris hay muchos y muy buenos), de sus encantadores bistrots, brasseries, creperies y cafés en los que hacer un brunch, un almuerzo informal, una merienda reposada o una cena íntima y acogedora… lugares que para mí recogen un pedacito de la magia de París y representan mucho mejor su lado más especial y bohemio… muy TrippingBites!

10 lugares informales – pero con mucho encanto- para comer en Paris

 

1. Septime

Uno de mis grandes descubrimientos en Paris es este lugar precioso, acogedor, cool e informal en la Rue de Charonne 80, en la Bastilla. Su comida espectacular a precios razonables (aunque puede que sea el restaurante más caro de esta lista), su personalidad y también su sencillez, hacen que este sitio cada vez esté más de moda y sea un lugar habitual para los jóvenes parisinos.  Lo que más me gusta es su decoración industrial pero cálida en la que las mesas de madera no tienen manteles, y la manera en la que consiguen modernizar los platos de la cocina parisina de toda la vida, como la pescadilla con achicoria y mantequilla de naranja o sus deliciosos postres. A mediodía tienen un menú degustación de 6 platos por si queréis daros un homenaje. Ah! Es imprescindible reservar en su web o por teléfono.

 

 

2. Water Bar, en la planta baja de Le Collette

Colette es una de las concept- stores más conocidas y emblemáticas de Paris, situada en la mítica y trendy Rue de Saint Honoré, en la que poder encontrar desde prendas exclusivas de diseñadores franceses hasta música o piezas de arte, con una gran orientación a la innovación y a las nuevas tendencias. Pero lo que no todo el mundo sabe es que en su planta inferior hay un bar-restaurante en el que disfrutar del auténtico fast good, una cocina sana en la que abundan las verduras y vegetales en el que además, como su nombre indica, existe una enorme carta de aguas con más de 60 sabores diferentes. También os lo recomiendo para hacer un brunch tardío. El menú y sus precios los tenéis disponibles en su web, pero si queréis alguna recomendación, el risotto con trufa es impresionante!! 3. La Palette

En el corazón de Le Marais, uno de los barrios más bonitos y bohemios de París, está La Palette: un café de estilo típico parisino ideal para tomar un vino acompañado de una buena tabla de quesos, de embutido o de salmón y una de sus famosas ensaladas en su preciosa terraza. La decoración en el interior está muy cuidada y como curiosidad, os contaré que se utilizó como escenario para uno de los vídeos de Taylor Swift, “Begin Again“. En 43 rue de Seine, mas info en su web.

4. Le Cantine de Merci

También ubicado en el interior de una concept store, otro lugar con encanto de la ciudad para ir a la hora del almuerzo es Merci, café-restaurante muy muy bonito y recomendable en el que os vais a sentir casi como si estuvieseis leyendo tranquilamente en una biblioteca, en un lugar muy especial: ya no solo por estar situado en pleno barrio de Le Marais –uno de mis preferidos de París-, sino porque en el mismo edificio en el que se encuentra podréis encontrar desde antigüedades hasta prendas de moda de última tendencia.  En cuanto a qué pedir, la carta es corta pero aun así lo vais a tener complicado para elegir… a mi me gustan mucho sus bagels de salmón… y su limonada!!! En 111 Boulevard Beaumarchais. 

5. Cafe Ruc

El Café Ruc es un lugar polivalente para casi cualquier momento del día, en el que poder tomar desde un café hasta algún plato sano como su salmón con verduras pasando por un cocktail de media tarde… y sobre todo sentarse en su terraza a ver a los paseantes de la calle si hace buen tiempo o disfrutar de la vista desde una mesa con cristalera en el interior con un buen capuchino los días más fríos. Un lugar muy parisino a pocos pasos del Louvre que os recomiendo para después de vuestra visita al museo. No es de los más baratos pero sí un lugar especial para visitar en París. En 159 rue Saint Honoré.

 

6. Le Cafe A

Otro café especial del que me gustaría hablaros es del Café A, situado en la Maison de l’Architecture de France, en un antiguo convento franciscano renovado. El sitio es muy auténtico y pintoresco, escondido y secreto, en el que destaca su terraza con sillas de playa que es un remanso de paz y tranquilidad. El servicio es algo lento, pero lo mejor de este lugar es llegar y olvidarse del estrés… mejor para tomar un café o alguna bebida que para comer o cenar. En 148 rue du Faubourg Saint Martin. 

 

7. Crêperie Brocéliande

Visitar Paris y no ir a una de sus maravillosas creperies debería ser pecado. La ciudad tiene miles de ellas distribuidas por todos sus barrios y se agradece poder tenerlas tan accesibles y poder disfrutar de ellas, tanto de las dulces como de las saladas, como opción low cost pero no por ello menos auténtica. Podría hablaros de más de diez que me han gustado, pero entre todas ellas destaca Brocéliande, en pleno Montmartre, en la que incluso podréis pediros un menú por 12€ que incluye una bebida, un crepe salado y otro dulce para el postre. La zona en la que se encuentra es preciosa, y la comida espectacular a bajo precio. Mención especial para sus crepes dulces de mantequilla, caramelo y manzana, son adictivas! (no digáis que no os advertí…) En 15 rue des 3 Freres. 

 

8. Les 5 à Paris

En el Barrio Latino, uno de los más animados y eclécticos de Paris, Les 5 ofrece unos de los mejores brunchs de la ciudad. Siempre animado y con buen ambiente, es ideal para darse un buen desayuno de fin de semana con una selección de panes y pasteles, plato principal y postre con muy buena relación calidad – precio. Sus platos tienen un punto original frente a toda la oferta típica más turística de los alrededores y siempre te deja con ganas de volver. En 136 Rue Mouffetard.

 

9. Season

La cantina más healthy de Le Marais se llama Season y se encuentra en la Rue Charles-François Dupuis número 1. Me parece perfecta tanto para desayunar o tomar un brunch como para tomar comidas más saludables e informales. En su menú tienen desde bowls de muesli y açai hasta bagels, burritos, ensaladas o falafel, y creo que el precio más alto de la carta son los 20€ de la bandeja de dim sum. El sitio es cool, moderno y agradable para estar un buen rato y disfrutar del ambiente del barrio. Pasaros a comprobarlo!

 

10. Café de Flore

Para terminar con la lista de hoy, no podía faltar el icónico Café de Flore, uno de los cafés más populares y conocidos de la ciudad, considerado también uno de los mejores de Europa. Es un café- brasserie en el 172 del Boulevard Saint-Germain, que en el pasado acogía a personajes intelectuales, pintores, escultores y poetas, y en el que hoy podemos encontrarnos hasta a las modelos más conocidas de la Fashion Week. Sigue siendo un lugar de moda y el place to be de la ciudad, al mismo tiempo que mantiene su autenticidad y ambiente del pasado. Sus precios no hacen de él un lugar accesible, pero muchos rentabilizan los 7€ que cuesta el café pasando horas enteras disfrutando de la magia y la historia de este lugar. Todo un must.

10 informal places – but with a lot of charm – to eat in Paris

 

1. Septime

One of my great discoveries in Paris is this beautiful, cozy, cool and informal place on Rue de Charonne 80, in the Bastille. Its spectacular food at reasonable prices (although it may be the most expensive restaurant on this list), its personality and also its simplicity, make this place more and more fashionable and a regular place for young Parisians. What I like most is its industrial but warm decoration in which the wooden tables do not have tablecloths, and the way in which they manage to modernize the dishes of Parisian cuisine of a lifetime, such as chicory and orange butter or their delicious desserts. At noon they have a tasting menu of 6 dishes in case you want to pay homage. Ah! It is essential to book on its website or by phone.

 

 

2. Water Bar, on the ground floor of Le Colette

Colette is one of the most well-known and emblematic concept stores in Paris, situated on the mythical and trendy Rue de Saint Honoré, where you can find exclusive clothing from French designers to music or works of art, with a great orientation to the innovation and new trends. But what not everyone knows is that on the lower floor there is a bar-restaurant in which to enjoy the authentic fast good, a healthy cuisine in which vegetables and vegetables abound in which in addition, as its name indicates, there is a huge water menu with over 60 different flavors. I also recommend you to make a late brunch. The menu and its prices are available on their website, but if you want some recommendation, the risotto with truffle is awesome !! At 213 Rue Saint Honoré.

 

 

3. La Palette

In the heart of Le Marais, one of the most beautiful and bohemian districts of Paris, is La Palette: a typical Parisian style cafe ideal for a wine accompanied by a good cheese board, sausage or salmon and one of its famous salads on its beautiful terrace. The interior decoration is very careful and as a curiosity, I will tell you that it was used as the stage for one of Taylor Swift’s videos, «Begin Again». 4. Le Cantine de Merci

Also located in the interior of a concept store, another charming place of the city to go at lunchtime is Merci, cafe-restaurant very very nice and recommended in which you will feel almost as if you were reading quietly in a library, in a very special place: not only because it is located in the heart of Le Marais – one of my favorites in Paris – but also because in the same building where you can find everything from antiques to fashionable clothing of last trend. As for what to order, the menu is short but you’re still going to have a hard time choosing it … I really like their salmon bagels … and their lemonade !!! At 111 Boulevard Beaumarchais.

 

5. Cafe Ruc

Café Ruc is a multipurpose place for almost any time of the day, where you can drink from a coffee to a healthy dish like salmon with vegetables going through a mid-afternoon cocktail … and above all sit on your terrace to see the walkers of the street if it is good weather or enjoy the view from a table with glass inside with a good cappuccino on colder days. A very Parisian place a few steps from the Louvre that I recommend for after your visit to the museum. It is not the cheapest but a special place to visit in Paris. At 159 rue Saint Honoré.

 

6. Le Cafe A

Another special coffee I would like to talk to you about is Cafe A, located in the Maison de l’Architecture de France, in a renovated old Franciscan convent. The place is very authentic and picturesque, hidden and secret, in which it emphasizes its terrace with chairs of beach that is a haven of peace and tranquility. The service is somewhat slow, but the best thing about this place is to get there and forget the stress … better to have a coffee or some drink than to eat or dine. At 148 rue du Faubourg Saint Martin.

 

7. Crêperie Brocéliande

Visiting Paris and not going to one of its wonderful creperies should be a sin. The city has thousands of them distributed by all its neighborhoods and it is grateful to be able to have them so accessible and to be able to enjoy them, as much of the sweets as of the salads, as low cost option but not for that less authentic. I could tell you more than ten that I liked, but among all of them stands Brocéliande, right in the middle of Montmartre, where you can even ask for a menu for € 12 which includes a drink, a savory crepe and another sweet for dessert. The area in which it is located is beautiful, and the food spectacular at a low price. Special mention for their sweet crepes of butter, caramel and apple, are addictive! (Do not say I did not warn you …) In 15 rue des 3 Freres.

 

8. Les 5 à Paris

In the Latin Quarter, one of the most lively and eclectic in Paris, Les 5 offers some of the best brunchs in the city. Always lively and with a good atmosphere, it is ideal for a good weekend breakfast with a selection of breads and cakes, main course and dessert with very good value for money. Their dishes have an original point opposite to all the typical tourist offer of the surroundings and always leaves you wanting to return. At 136 Rue Mouffetard.

 

9. Season

Le Marais’s most healthy canteen is called Season and is located at Rue Charles-François Dupuis number 1. It seems perfect for breakfast or brunch to eat healthier and informal meals. In their menu they have everything from bowls of muesli and açai to bagels, burritos, salads or falafel, and I think the highest price of the menu is € 20 from the dim sum tray. The place is cool, modern and nice to have a good time and enjoy the atmosphere of the neighborhood. Come and check it out!

 

10. Café de Flore

To finish off the list today, you could not miss the iconic Café de Flore, one of the most popular and well-known cafes in the city, considered also one of the best in Europe. It is a cafeteria on 172 Boulevard Saint-Germain, which in the past was home to intellectuals, painters, sculptors and poets, and today we can find the best known models of Fashion Week. It remains a place of fashion and the place to be of the city, while maintaining its authenticity and atmosphere of the past. Its prices do not make it an accessible place, but many monetize the € 7 that costs the coffee spending whole hours enjoying the magic and history of this place. All a must.
