Me ha costado un poco publicar este post…

En estos momentos es cuando más apreciamos todo lo que tenemos y dimos por sentado. Es el momento de ser responsables, de estar unidos en la distancia y de cuidarnos entre nosotros, el momento de cancelar viajes y entender que es crucial quedarse en casa.

La foto que abre este post es el Lago di Braies en el norte de Italia, una de las primeras áreas de Europa en estar afectadas. Íbamos a visitarlo en pocas semanas, pero eso ahora es lo que menos importa… #yomequedoencasa

Creo que en estos días no tiene mucho sentido mantener activo el blog, pero sé que tarde o temprano lo superaremos y que todo irá bien. Cuando todo esto pase, todos, independientemente del país en el que residamos, habremos aprendido el valor de un abrazo, de los ratos que pasamos junto a nuestros padres, familia y amigos, de un paseo al aire libre, de un paisaje, de la emoción de un pequeño o gran viaje… porque todo eso nos recordará que somos libres, que estamos sanos y que tenemos gente alrededor que nos quiere.

Entonces Trippingbites volverá con más fuerza que nunca no solo para seguir acumulando bonitos recuerdos alrededor del Mundo, sino sobre todo para recordarnos y dejar constancia cada semana de lo afortunados que somos de poder disfrutarlos.

Podremos con ello!

It has been difficult to publish this post …

Right now is when we are most aware of what we have and we took for granted. It is the moment to be responsible, to be united in the distance and to take care of each other, the moment to cancel trips full of illusions and understand that it is crucial to stay at home.

The photo that opens this post is the Lago di Braies in northern Italy, one of the first areas in Europe to be affected. We were going to visit him in a few weeks, but that is the least important now… #istayhome

I think it makes no sense keeping the blog active these days, but I do know that sooner or later we will get over it, everything will be ok. Everyone, regardless of our country, will value each hug much more, each moment that we spend with our family or friends, each walk in the open air, each landscape and each emotion associated to a trip … because they will remind us that we are free, healthy, and we have people around who love us.

Then Trippingbites will return stronger than ever not only to continue accumulating beautiful memories around the World, but above all to remind us how lucky we are to be able to enjoy them.
