Hoy os traigo un post exclusivamente dedicado a un alojamiento en el que estuvimos hace poco, El Hotelito, que también os adelantaba en el post Are you Agro Chic?

Se trata del primer alojamiento de España en recibir la denominación “agro chic“ y la verdad es que me encanta por su sencillez, por lo acogedor que es y por la capacidad que tiene para hacerte desconectar del estrés y conectar con la naturaleza. Aquí os dejo un review de nuestra experiencia por si os apetece visitarlo en alguna escapada de fin de semana.

 

El hotel

---

El hotel se encuentra situado en Navaluenga, Ávila, al otro lado del río Alberche y a un poco menos de 2kms. del centro de esta localidad. Para llegar a él hay que tomar un camino desde la carretera que no está asfaltado y que por la noche apenas está iluminado, por lo que si decidís (como hicimos nosotros un día) dejar el coche e ir andando al pueblo, tendréis que usar la linterna del móvil para poder ver bien por donde pisáis. Este camino está lleno de pequeñas parcelas con caballos, ponis y vacas.

El establecimiento está comprometido con el entorno y el medio ambiente tanto en el consumo (utiliza energía solar, sistemas de ahorro de agua, utilización de sabanas y toallas de algodón ecológico, huerto propio…) como desde iniciativas sociales como el apoyo al comercio local o el soporte a colectivos de discapacitados. Admite mascotas (con un coste de 15€ cada una) y cuenta con un establo con caballos en los que se ofrecen visitas guiadas.

Una vez llegas, hay una amplia zona de parking donde dejar el coche y atraviesas un pequeño jardín con terraza, mesas y sillas para tomar el sol. La entrada está decorada de manera rústica con unos originales troncos que hacen de peanas para sostener unas plantas, me pareció muy original 🙂

También vimos una piscina (aunque estaba ya cubierta por no ser temporada), pero consultando la web otras páginas de reservas comprobamos que en meses de calor está abierta al público.

En la recepción, Cándido os atenderá con amabilidad y una sonrisa y os explicará todo lo necesario para hacer vuestra estancia perfecta.

Y finalmente, otra de las cosas que nos gustaron fueron las zonas de paso y zonas comunes, decoradas con vigas de madera y lámparas de fibras naturales que reforzaban la atmósfera rústica y chic del alojamiento.

 

 

Las habitaciones

---

El hotelito cuenta con un total de 12 habitaciones entre las que se encuentran las habitaciones estándar, las que tienen terraza, las de la planta baja con jardín, una suite con jacuzzi y un apartamento. Nosotros nos alojamos en una habitación estándar (la número 26) situada en la planta alta y con unas vistas muy bonitas de la sierra.

El baño era enorme y con una ducha de hidromasaje con un enorme ventanal y era genial ducharse con esas vistas de la naturaleza.

Si algo tengo que destacar de la habitación era la cama: enorme y supercómoda, para descansar a cuerpo de rey. Y si algo puedo echar en falta, sería contar con una pequeña nevera o mini bar, aunque si había un hervidor de agua, infusiones, café soluble y el detalle de unas galletas para los clientes.

 

El restaurante

---

En la planta baja, junto a la recepción, se encuentra el restaurante donde se sirven los desayunos y las cenas. El sitio es muy moderno, luminoso y cómodo. Aunque nosotros no llegamos a cenar allí, sí pudimos ver la carta: cocina mediterránea con platos cuidados y originales que son un buen contrapunto a la oferta más tradicional de Navaluenga.

En cuanto al desayuno, nos pareció muy completo y mimado al detalle, con mermeladas y yogures caseros, zumos, fruta, bolleria, pan artesanal, y con opción a pedir huevos revueltos o fritos… elegíamos siempre tomarlo junto al gran ventanal abierto al paisaje y dedicar tiempo a disfrutarlo.

 

 

La biblioteca

---

Sin ninguna duda, la zona que más nos gustó y disfrutamos fue el saloncito con biblioteca y chimenea… super cozy! Al final del día nos sentábamos allí a tomar algo (probamos el Gin Tonic del Hotelito), leer algún libro o revista y charlar sobre las actividades del día. Para una loca de la decoración como yo, he de decir que cogí muchísimas ideas tanto textiles como de materiales y combinaciones: madera, cemento, prints exóticos y tribales, sillones de piel… todo con muy buen gusto y equilibrado para dar esa sensación de comodidad y de estar como en casa.

El saloncito tenia una gran puerta corredera de madera que daba a un pequeño salón de reuniones que nos pareció ideal para organizar algún evento de trabajo con rollo más casual o incluso para hacer algún Workshop creativo o Think tank.

 

Las actividades y experiencias

Justo pegado al hotel hay un establo donde ver caballos con visitas guiadas desde el hotel, pero también es posible alquilar bicicletas, contratar excursiones para navegar o hacer kayak por el pantano de El Burguillo, hacer catas y degustaciones, visitar alguna bodega, observar las estrellas… las opciones son muchas y todo depende de las ganas que tengáis de hacer cosas! Cándido en recepción os explicará todas las posibilidades para que podáis elegir lo que más os guste, nosotros íbamos en plan relax y nos conformamos con hacer alguna que otra ruta de senderismo por los alrededores 😉

 

 

Navaluenga

---

Navaluenga es un lugar animado y con una amplia oferta de ocio, gastronómica y de actividades para disfrutar durante vuestra estancia en El Hotelito. Se encuentra en mitad de un enclave natural precioso en el que se fusiona el agua del Alberche, el verde de la vegetación y la silueta escarpada de la montaña.

Lo más destacable del pueblo sería:

• El señorial Puente Románico o Puente Viejo, que cruza el Alberche y bajo el que se encuentran sus piscinas naturales, edificado en el siglo SVI.
• La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Villares, con una ermita construida desde el siglo XIII hasta el siglo XVI y una pila bautismal románica labrada.
• La Cruz del Cerillo de San Marcos, única inscripción procedente del Cerillo de San Marcos en escritura de estilo gótico.
• El Yacimiento Arqueológico Altomedieval de Fuenteávila, de los siglos IX al XII, con más de 15 sepulcros excavados en el granito en su necrópolis.
• El Potro de Herrar, una construcción tradicional donde se herraban las vacas formado por cuatro sillares de piedra unidos por vigas de madera en los laterales y un yugo en el frontal.
• La Ermita de la Merced en ‘Las Erillas’, próxima al Camino Viejo de Burgohondo. Posiblemente construida en el siglo XVII.
• La Ermita de San Isidro, junto al puente románico, reconstruida por los agricultores de la localidad sobre los restos de la antigua Ermita de la Purísima Concepción en 1940.

Existen dos rutas de senderismo que parten justo de la zona del puente, nosotros hicimos parte de la AV-9 subiendo la montaña y tenía unas vistas preciosas de los alrededores.

• La Prc AV-9 “Camino Viejo de Piedralaves“, con una longitud de 12,7 kms. y una dificultad media aunque con varios tramos de subida intensos.
• La Prc AV-10 “Garganta Cambonal“, de 14,2 kms. y dificultad media.

También una ruta de bicicleta de montaña desde Navaluenga hasta Trampalones, de unas 2 horas de duración y dificultad alta.

 

Para tapear o comer, la verdad es que hay mil opciones y alternativas! Pero las que no os podéis perder (a nosotros nos encantaron) fueron:

• Para tapear: La Tabernilla, nuestro lugar habitual de tapeo en Navaluenga. Los camareros son encantadores y las tapas que acompañan el vino o la cerveza son deliciosas: patatas revolcones, paella, oreja… todo preparado al momento. En C/ de la Iglesia, 4. 
• Para comer: Restaurante La Galería,  un sitio bonito y acogedor con buenos vinos (cuentan con su propio sumiller con muy buenas recomendaciones), carnes y pescados. De Lunes a Viernes tienen un buen menú del día, y los fines de semana es recomendable reservar porque se pone a tope . En C/ de la Ermita, 16. 
• Para tomar algo: El Bodegón, con un ambiente tranquilo y una zona de juegos con dardos y futbolín. En C/ de la Ermita, 25.

 

El precio

---

En la web del hotel aparecen los precios oficiales, que varían entre los 90-145€ en temporada baja/ entre semana y los 115-175€ en temporada alta/ fin de semana, desayuno Buffet aparte (12€ por persona y día)

Sin embargo, como os comentaba en este post, yo siempre que tengo un alojamiento escogido miro antes en Weekendesk para ver si lo tienen incluido en sus packs, y en este caso conseguimos una buena oferta de habitación estándar con vistas a la montaña + desayuno + botella de cava + visita a los establos por 100€ la noche. Si tenéis claro que vais al Hotelito, echad antes un vistazo!

Today we bring a post exclusively dedicated to an accommodation in which we stayed recently, El Hotelito,  advanced in the Are you Agro Chic? post.

This is the first accommodation in Spain to receive the name «agro chic» and the truth is that I love it for its simplicity, for how cozy it is and for the ability it has to make you disconnect from stress and connect with nature. Here you have a review of our experience in case you want to visit it in a weekend getaway.

 

The hotel

---

The hotel is located in Navaluenga, Ávila, on the other side of the Alberche River and just under 2kms. from the center of this town. To get to it you have to take a road from the road that is not paved and that at night is barely illuminated, so if you decide (as we did one day) to leave the car and walk to the town, you will have to use the flashlight of the mobile to see well where you step. This road is full of small plots with horses, ponies and cows.

It is committed to the environment both in consumption (uses solar energy, water saving systems, use of sheets and towels of organic cotton, own garden …) and from social initiatives such as trade support local or support for groups of disabled people. Pets are allowed (with a cost of € 15 each) and has a stable with horses where guided tours are offered.

Once you arrive, there is a large parking area where you can leave your car and go through a small garden with a terrace, tables and chairs for sunbathing. The entrance is decorated in a rustic way with some original trunks that make bases to support some plants, I found it very original 🙂

We also saw a swimming pool (although it was already covered for not being a season), but checking the website other booking pages we found that in hot months it is open to the public.

At the reception, Cándido will attend you with kindness and a smile and will explain everything you need to make your stay perfect.

And finally, another of the things we liked were the passageways and common areas, decorated with wooden beams and natural fiber lamps that reinforced the rustic and chic atmosphere of the accommodation.

 

 

The rooms

---

The hotel has a total of 12 rooms among which are the standard rooms, those with a terrace, those on the ground floor with a garden, a suite with jacuzzi and an apartment. We stayed in a standard room (number 26) located on the top floor and with beautiful views of the mountains.

The bathroom was huge and with a hydromassage shower with a huge window and it was great to shower with those views of nature.

If I have to highlight something about the room, it was the bed: huge and super comfortable, to rest with the body of the king. And if something I can miss, it would be to have a small fridge or mini bar, although if there was a kettle, infusions, soluble coffee and the detail of some cookies for customers.

 

The restaurant

On the ground floor, next to the reception, is the restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served. The site is very modern, bright and comfortable. Although we did not get to have dinner there, we could see the menu: Mediterranean cuisine with careful and original dishes that are a good counterpoint to the more traditional Navaluenga offer.

As for breakfast, we found it very complete and pampered in detail, with homemade jams and yogurts, juices, fruit, pastries, artisanal bread, and with the option to order scrambled or fried eggs … we always chose to take it next to the large window open to the landscape and spend time enjoying it.

 

 

The library

---

Without any doubt, the area we liked and enjoyed the most was the lounge with a library and fireplace … super cozy! At the end of the day we sat there for a drink (we tried the Gin Tonic of the Hotelito), read a book or magazine and chat about the activities of the day. For a decoration freak like me, I have to say that I took many ideas both textiles and materials and combinations: wood, cement, exotic and tribal prints, leather armchairs … all with very good taste and balanced to give that feeling of comfort and being at home.

The lounge had a large wooden sliding door that opened to a small meeting room that we found ideal for organizing a work event with a more casual roll or even for a creative Workshop or Think tank.

 

Activities and experiences

---

Right next to the hotel there is a stable where you can see horses with guided tours from the hotel, but it is also possible to rent bicycles, hire excursions to sail or go kayaking through the swamp of El Burguillo, do tastings, visit a winery, observe the stars … the options are many and everything depends on your desire to do things! Candido at reception will explain all the possibilities so that you can choose what you like, we were going to relax and we settle for doing some other hiking route around;)

 

 

Navaluenga

---

Navaluengais a lively place with a wide range of leisure, gastronomy and activities to enjoy during your stay at El Hotelito. It is located in the middle of a beautiful natural enclave in which the water of the Alberche, the green of the vegetation and the sheer silhouette of the mountain merges.

Highlights of the town:

• The stately Romanesque Bridge or Old Bridge, which crosses the Alberche and under which its natural pools are located, built in the SVI century.
• The Church of Our Lady of the Villares, with a hermitage built from the thirteenth to the sixteenth century and a carved Romanesque baptismal font.
• The Cross of the Cerillo de San Marcos, the only inscription from the Cerillo de San Marcos in Gothic style writing.
• The Altomedieval Archaeological Site of Fuenteávila, from the 9th to the 12th centuries, with more than 15 graves excavated in granite in its necropolis.
• The Potro de Herrar, a traditional construction where cows were made up of four stone blocks joined by wooden beams on the sides and a yoke on the front.
• The Hermitage of Mercy in ‘Las Erillas’, next to the Old Way of Burgohondo. Possibly built in the 17th century.
• The Hermitage of San Isidro, next to the Romanesque bridge, rebuilt by the local farmers on the remains of the ancient Hermitage of the Purísima Concepción in 1940.

There are two hiking trails that start right from the bridge area, we were part of the AV-9 climbing the mountain and had beautiful views of the surroundings.

• The Prc AV-9 “Camino Viejo de Piedralaves“, with a length of 12.7 kms. and a medium difficulty although with several sections of intense ascent.
• The PRC AV-10 “Garganta Cambonal“, of 14.2 kms. and medium difficulty.

Also a mountain bike route from Navaluenga to Trampalones, about 2 hours long and high difficulty.

 

For tapas or eat, there are a thousand options and alternatives! But the ones you can’t miss (we loved them) were:

• Tapas: La Tabernilla, our usual tapas place in Navaluenga. The waiters are lovely and the tapas that accompany the wine or beer are delicious: potato chips, paella, ear … all prepared at the moment. In C/ de la Iglesia, 4. 
• Restaurant: Restaurante La Galería,  a nice and cozy place with good wines (they have their own sommelier with very good recommendations), meat and fish. From Monday to Friday they have a good menu of the day, and on weekends it is advisable to book because it is full. In C/ de la Ermita, 16. 
• For drinks: El Bodegón, with a quiet atmosphere and a playground with darts and table football. In C/ de la Ermita, 25.

 

Prices

---

On the hotel website  official prices appear, which vary between € 90-145 in low season / weekdays and € 115-175 in high season / weekend, separate Buffet breakfast (€ 12 per person per day)

However, as I mentioned in this post, whenever I have a chosen accommodation I look before in Weekendesk to see if they have it included in their weekend packs, and in this case we get a good offer of standard room with mountain views + breakfast + bottle of champagne + visit to the stables for € 100 a night. If you are clear that you are going to the Hotelito, take a look before!
