No me puedo creer que la última vez que publiqué el recopilatorio del año fuera en 2019! Retomando la tradición, terminamos el 2023 con el último post del año recordando sus mejores momentos. Junto a 2022 ha sido un año en el que poco a poco hemos podido ir retomando viajes tanto dentro como fuera de España, ojalá en 2024 siga la racha!
Enero… Fuerteventura
Iniciamos el año en Fuerteventura, esta vez en Morro Jable y sus alrededores, con la visita a la Playa de Cofete como hito del viaje. Nos encantó coger aquel autobús 4×4 y recorrer caminos imposibles al lado de los acantilados hasta llegar a esta salvaje e impresionante playa alejada de todo, al igual que los interminables paseos por la orilla del mar de Morro Jable hasta llegar a su pintoresco faro.
Morro Jable es un pueblecito muy animado que nos faltaba por visitar en Fuerteventura y si os decidís a conocerlo no dejéis de comer en el restaurante Laja casi sobre el mar con unas preciosas vistas.
Mayo… Roma
Teníamos una cuenta pendiente con Roma, y era pasar unos días (que en principio iban a ser tranquilos) simplemente disfrutando del Campo di Fiori (elegimos alojarnos justo al lado del mercado para no perdernos la vidilla de sus puestos cada día) y sobre todo de la gastronomía. En resumen: íbamos sobre todo a comer! Jajaja.
Como siempre, Roma nunca decepciona y supera las expectativas. Terminó siendo mucho más intenso de lo esperado pero es que una vez allí es imposible resistirse a todos los encantos y terminamos re-visitando de nuevo toda la ciudad: el río Tíber, el Vaticano y la Capilla Sixtina, el Castelo de Sant Angelo, la Fontana di Trevi… y por supuesto terminamos la mayoría de los días en el Trastevere, uno de nuestros sitios preferidos de la ciudad.
A pesar de ello, cumplimos con el objetivo del viaje culinario y descubrimos verdaderos musts gastronómicos romanos… un viaje de 10!!
Julio & Agosto… Holbox
En Julio por fin pudimos cruzar el charco! No puedo describir la emoción y las sensaciones de coger un vuelo largo de nuevo. Estábamos algo desentrenados pero todo salió perfecto y tras una larga travesía descubrimos uno de los más secretos paraísos, esta pequeña isla mexicana en la que pasamos dos semanas increíbles entre aguas cristalinas, gente maravillosa y comida deliciosa.
No puedo dejar de recomendar este sitio remoto, sus playas y su animado pueblecito… sin duda uno de los mejores destinos de Mexico. Si alguna vez os animáis a visitarlo, no dejéis de echar un vistazo antes al post del blog y considerar el alojamiento en el que nos hospedamos, la experiencia en Holbox haciendo noche en el Dream Front es (si cabe) todavía más inolvidable!!! 💙
Septiembre… Granada
Desde 2022, los últimos días de septiembre hemos instaurado una nueva tradición que es hacer una escapada de amigas. En 2022 fuimos a Lanzarote, y este año tras dudar entre varios destinos elegimos Granada… todo un acierto!
Hacía años que no la visitaba y me encantó volver a perderme entre sus calles, subir al Mirador de San Nicolás, descubrir nuevos restarantes y probar por primera vez los baños del Hammam Al-Ándalus, sin olvidar lo divertido de salir por la noche por la zona de Angel Ganviet o la locura del Lemon Rock!!
Ya estamos pensando en nuevos destinos para Septiembre de 2024 y algunos prometen mucho… no os lo perdáis!!
Octubre… Andorra
No sé cómo teniendo este pequeño y encantador país tan a mano nunca me había decidido a visitarlo… a finales de Octubre por fin conocimos Andorra y nos supo a poco.
Andorra es mucho más que una calle de tiendas o un lugar para esquiar, es un lugar increíble en plena naturaleza con lagos, montañas, miradores y pueblecitos encantadores, perfecto para desconectar unos días del ajetreo de cualquier gran ciudad. También es perfecta para dedicar unas horas a relajarse en Caldea y respirar el aire puro rodeado de montañas mientras te relajas en sus aguas calientes, o para saborear su cocina en alguna de sus populares bordas. Ahora que ya hemos descubierto algunos de sus secretos no creo que pase mucho tiempo hasta que volvamos a visitarla, no os perdáis el post!
Noviembre… Ávila
Ávila es nuestro destino habitual en Noviembre. Solemos escaparnos en estas fechas para ir al mercado y hacer acopio de provisiones para la navidad, y siempre elegimos el mismo sitio para alojarnos: el Hotel Palacio Los Velada, es nuestra pequeña tradición!
Este año no podía ser menos, pero además de nuestros planes de siempre nos sorprendió conocer nuevos sitios que guardamos para repetir el año que viene, como el bar del Hotel Palacio Sofraga, la pintoresca Casa de la Fruta o el nuevo mercadito navideño con sus puestos de madera en la Plaza de la Catedral.
Estoy deseando empezar el primer capítulo del nuevo año y todos los nuevos viajes que nos esperan! Volvemos en Enero con las pilas cargadas y ganas de seguir compartiendo más aventuras con todos vosotros.

I can’t believe that the last time I published the compilation of the year was in 2019! Returning to tradition, we end 2023 with the last post of the year remembering its best moments. Along with 2022 has been a year in which little by little we have been able to go resuming trips both inside and outside Spain, hopefully in 2024 the streak continues!
January… Fuerteventura
We started the year in Fuerteventura, this time in Morro Jable and its surroundings, with a visit to Cofete Beach as the highlight of the trip. We loved to take that 4×4 bus and go through impossible roads next to the cliffs to reach this wild and impressive beach away from everything, as well as the endless walks along the seashore of Morro Jable to reach its picturesque lighthouse.
May… Rome
We had a pending account with Rome, and it was to spend a few days (which in principle were going to be quiet) simply enjoying the Campo di Fiori (we chose to stay right next to the market so as not to miss the atmosphere of its stalls every day) and especially the gastronomy. In short: we were mostly going to eat! Hahaha.
As always, Rome never disappoints and exceeds expectations. It ended up being much more intense than expected but once there it is impossible to resist all the charms and we ended up re-visiting the whole city again: the Tiber River, the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel, the Castelo de Sant Angelo, the Trevi Fountain… and of course we ended most days in Trastevere, one of our favorite places in the city.
Nevertheless, we fulfilled the objective of the culinary trip and discovered true Roman gastronomic musts… a trip of 10!!!
July & August… Holbox
In July we were finally able to cross the pond! I can’t describe the excitement and sensations of taking a long flight again. We were a bit untrained but everything went perfect and after a long crossing we discovered one of the most secret paradises, this small Mexican island where we spent two incredible weeks among crystal clear waters, wonderful people and delicious food.
I can’t stop recommending this remote place, its beaches and lively little town… undoubtedly one of the best destinations in Mexico. If you ever decide to visit it, don’t forget to take a look at the blog post and consider the accommodation we stayed in, the experience in Holbox staying at the Dream Front is (if possible) even more unforgettable!!! 💙
September… Granada
Since 2022, the last days of September we have established a new tradition which is to make a getaway for friends. In 2022 we went to Lanzarote, and this year after hesitating between several destinations we chose Granada… a success!
It had been years since I last visited and I loved getting lost in its streets, going up to the Mirador de San Nicolas, discovering new restaurants and trying for the first time the baths of Hammam Al-Andalus, without forgetting the fun of going out at night in the area of Angel Ganviet or the madness of Lemon Rock!
We are already thinking about new destinations for September 2024 and some of them promise a lot… don’t miss it!
October… Andorra
I don’t know how, having this small and charming country so close at hand, I had never decided to visit it… at the end of October we finally got to know Andorra and it was not enough.
Andorra is much more than a shopping street or a place to ski, it is an incredible place in the middle of nature with lakes, mountains, viewpoints and charming villages, perfect to disconnect for a few days from the hustle and bustle of any big city. It is also perfect to spend a few hours relaxing in Caldea and breathe the fresh air surrounded by mountains while you relax in its hot waters, or to savor its cuisine in one of its popular bordas. Now that we have discovered some of its secrets I don’t think it will be long before we visit it again, don’t miss the post!
November… Ávila
Avila is our usual destination in November. We usually get away at this time to go to the market and stock up on supplies for Christmas, and we always choose the same place to stay: the Hotel Palacio Los Velada, it’s our little tradition!
This year could not be less, but in addition to our usual plans we were surprised to meet new places that we keep to repeat next year, such as the bar of the Hotel Palacio Sofraga, the picturesque Casa de la Fruta or the new Christmas market with its wooden stalls in the Plaza de la Catedral.
I can’t wait to start the first chapter of the new year and all the new trips that await us! We’ll be back in January with our batteries charged and looking forward to continue sharing more adventures with all of you.
